Parents at the wedding in the US?

Hello everybody,

I don't know if this has been asked before but citizens of Turkey have to be issued a visa for any kind of visit to the US. Even though it is just for tourism purpose. I am wondering what kind of visa should my parents and my sister apply to get to our wedding in the US?

The parents need to apply by themselves for tourist visas.

Make sure they take a lot of proof of reasons to return to Turkey.. bank account, owning a home, a car, a good job, etc.

We have been trying to get visitor visas for my husband's family, but so far only his 14 year old sister has ever been approved. Anyone else was denied, even when showing proof of reasons to returh. Consular officer said they weren't showing enough proof. His sister was approved easily. Maybe because she is young and wouldn't try to stay here and live.

When we were trying to get visitor visas for my husband, before we got married, he was denied twice even though he should everything you could possibly show. We even had an invitation letter from a state senator.

It's not as easy as people would think.
