Please help me verify the next process

1) Visa Application Fee

a) Go to BPI and pay $350 equivalent in Pesos

Question: Do I need to fill out a form to pay at BPI or does she just walk in there and say she's paying the Visa App and provide the MNL number?

2) schedule Appointment Online

Question: On the online application, it's asking for a Priority date, where do I get that?

3) Medical Exam

I understand no appointment is needed here and that it's on a First Come First Serve Basis, is that correct?

Question: Aside from the photo, appointment date and passport, whatelse does she need to bring with her?

When and where does she pay the $213.35?

IMPORTANT: What time is the best time to go to St Luke's and how long of a wait is it?

~when i went to bpi, i asked the guard about it and he told me to get a number from the machine thingy (you simply put what kind of visa and your passport number). after that you wait for your number to flash on the screen. the teller then asked me to write my name, kind of visa and signature on the photocopy of my passport that i brought. (yes bring a photocopy) she didnt even ask me for my mnl number.

~priority date is noa1

~you can register online to save you some time. they asked me for the nvc letter stating my mnl number which i didnt have when i had my medical. also dont forget the first day of her last period. they will ask that a lot of times.

~ps: they have the grumpiest staff ever.

There is no form for you to fill out -- your fiancee goes into a BPI branch and tells them she needs to pay the visa fee for USEM.

2) schedule Appointment Online

Found on your NOA1

Yes, that is correct.

She pays the medical fee at SLMCEC at the time of the medical. Click here for the required documents needed at the time of the medical.

This varies, most go early mornings and some go in the afternoon and breeze right thru the medical.

Don't forget to attend the CFO counseling.

Doesn't she have to be outside of 7 days before and after her period?

"Female applicants of child-bearing age cannot undergo medical examination during their menstrual period. Applicants who have their menstrual period should come back one week after the last day of their period." Per SLMCEC.

Medical exam question... I just found out she does not have records of her vaccinations...

What can we do? She said her current doctor does not have it either...

She is not required to have a immunization record.

Thanx!

How about x-ray? Does she bring her own or do they give her one there?

Were planning on getting this done on Monday. So shed probably fly in on Sunday and head back Tuesday evening. Will she beed more time than that?

Whenever applicable, please bring the following:

  • Old chest x-ray films not less than 3 months prior to the medical examination
  • Immunization record

It depends on how long ago the chest x-ray she has was done.

Two for the medical is normally enough time -- provide the chest x-ray is clear.

I'm having a brain meltdown here... Dies that mean it has to be older the 3 months or has to be within 3 months of the interview... Sounded almost like a double negative.

If it has to be 3 months older, we don't have that. What do we do then? Or does the if applicable clause mean "if you have it?"

Ok I think I was reading it wrong! I went back to ST lukes website and i guess if you have old x rays, bring em, if not, you'll need a current one it just does not say if they will take the xray or if she needs to bring one with her.

Thanx Leatherneck. I appreciate you clarifying things.

Your welcome!

They'll do chest x-rays at SLMCEC -- so just have her take the ones she has and let them determine if they will accept them or not.
