I recently signed up for case updates online and discovered that my case was last 'touched'/ updated on 04/28. I submitted my application on 04/05 and had my biometrics very late (in December). What does it mean? That noone looked into my case since the April last year? How accurate is that website? I'm worried... Btw I'm with VSC

Touches do not mean anything. The online case status checker is rarely if ever accurate. If you use teh search function and type in "touch" you will see hundreds of posts just like yours asking the same and people saying to not rely on it they don't mean anything and its not an accurate system.

Accuracy of their status website? Less than 10%.

Don't count on it, many of us are getting status updates in the mail instead of their website. Oh yes and a lot of us are still in "Initial Review" even the 10-year GC had already been issued.

If my calculation is correct, you are about a month and half away from your extension expiration. I suggest you call them and ask them to put in a service request and update you on the case status. Because when 9 months into ROC process and you are STILL waiting, you should prepare for your N-400 if you are still married. Somehow you have to force USCIS to do things these days and don't let yourself out-of-status!

Thank you for a quick response! Yes I scheduled the infopass appointment at my local uscis office so they can stamp my passport. I definitely don't want to run of out status.

I thought it was inaccurate, however, seeing almost everyone from April being approved makes me really anxious. Does an officer at the uscis office has an access to further information about my case? Maybe he can tell me something more about the way my case is being handled...

Look you are NOT alone. How USCIS works is still a mystery, and I thought IRS is bad...

Have it stamped, or file N-400 if you qualify, which in turns will force USCIS to make a conclusion on your ROC.

Maybe I should start a thread for those whom has longer than usual ROC processing time.
