The USCIS website seems to say you can use other than USPS, but maybe that's just for overseas.. The reason I ask is the FedEx is right at the Kinkos and we are printing 2 replica copies of the packet we are about to mail.

Can we mail it via Fed Ex to:

• 23 MAR 2012 - NVC received/forwarded approved I-129F
• 25 April 2012 - Interview and Visa Approved!
• 27 APR 2012 - Collected Visa at Embassy
• 29 MAY 2012 - Arrival in US after two weeks holiday together!
*It took 46 days from NOA1 to Visa pick-up and we received our NOA2 two weeks AFTER her arrival in States!

• 10 AUG 2012 - RFE for Proof of Employment and Fed. Poverty Level/Support Requirement!(Active Duty Military but deployed last year with little taxable income to report)

it doesn't have to be UPS. As long as the courier service mails to the courier address.

Welcome to the forum.

Sure, you can use FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS. Just be sure to send it to the correct address. The PO drop-box is for USPS only. The address you listed is fine for FedEx. The cost of USPS vs. express/courier deliveries is one reason why many opt for USPS. Another is that it is of little consequence, in the long run, whether the petition is quickly or slowly sent to Texas. The 5 month clock of waiting starts when they acknowledge receipt of your petition.

No need to require a signature. Send via USPS with "delivery confirmation" (a small yellow/white slip that you get at the supply counter in the Post Office). The cost is trivial, and you can track your package without waiting for the delay of a signed card.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thanks for the tips.. to be honest, we went with FedEx and paid more ONLY because there was a FedEx in the Kinkos where we were printing two replica copies for our records!

Saved a trip to the PO and knocked it all out in one fell swoop.

Nope not required and for sure there was no delay, two business days and it was in Texas... I even know who signed for it :thumbs:

I have heard everyone say it is ok to send both but I like to make sure it gets there and UPS or Fedex seemed more reliable for tracking purposes. I sent it UPS and knew it arrived when I tracked the package. I spent a few extra dollars but I had peace of mind...that's just how I roll!

Yup that is very much the reason I used Fedex, the package can be tracked all the way there. USPS does not offer that. A lot more peace of mind for me, and saving a couple bucks is not any sort of motive for doing otherwise.

We sent it on November 11th via FedEx 2Day A.M. delivery only because it's a holiday- Veterans Day and all USPS offices were closed. I sent it using the company's account I work for which should make it way cheaper... just as cheap as USPS. We also didn't required signature for the delivery (I can only imagine how many packages the get and have to sign for - which is a headache). Currently package is set to be delivered on 11/15/16 morning delivery.. This is got, since I don't think there is much of a difference between delivering it on 11/14/16 afternoon or 11/15/16 morning.
