one of my friends OPT got rejected .he did masters in unaccredited school. what r the option for him to stay back back here.

1. does his SEVIP is active?

2.can he transfer to other school, he has admission in other school?

I'm actually surprised he has a student visa for an unaccredited school.

His only option to stay is to renew a student visa (probably best to go to an accredited school this time)

Time to talk to the DSO at his school or the school he wants to go to

Yea he wouldn't have gotten OPT for an unaccredited school.

If he graduates, he will be out of status after 60 days. If he wants to stay, only way to do so is to transfer schools and get a new I-20. Make sure it's an accredited school this time!

he has the admission from accredited university but here my question is

1) he can directly transfer the university (or) he need to reinstate his sevis ?

This one is beyond me. First, how did he get a visa for an unaccredited school? Hes out of status 60 days after he graduates. He would need to re apply for a new student visa to an ACCREDITED school and thereby getting a new 1-20.
