Our I129F packet was recieved on 09/29/11. We just now discovered a Dept. of State letter in the mail dated 02/24/12 saying that within a week our petition will be forvarded to a visa-issuing post. Meanwhile the USCIS site is still showing our case status as "initial review" and the last case update date was 10/05/11. So we just want to let everyone else here waiting for their NOA2 to know that the site is messed up in that way. Good news might be already on the way for you as well

This is a known issue has been for some years - also why when you read the forums many people keep saying to not use the online case status checker as your only case reference. Always check the mail and call for updates.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

Shoot, after reading their post I was hoping this was why my case hasn't moved forward... but I've called a couple times (including today) and they say it's still pending.

9/19/11 - sent I-129F

9/21/11 - email NOA1

9/27/11 - hard copy NOA1

3/20/12 - congressional inquiry (6 months since NOA1)

4/4/12 - inquiry result: petition approved (still no NOA2 text/email/letter)

4/20/12 - packet 3 received from embassy
