Exactly. Very strong decision. And proper of course. What other individual right do we then need to ask permission to exercise?

This ruling affects only Maryland right now but if someother states Attorneys General don;t get the hint, they will. Appealing it to the Federal Appeals Court will cause it to be apploed to several other states and how is an appeals court going to overturn this when SCOTUS has already ruled it is an individual right and that it applies to states and cities as well? If the appeals court DID overturn it you could expect the Supreme Court to overtunr it following their previous decisions, none of that is a good way to go for the racists wishing to take away our civil rights

Yes, so what we have here is a 'bases loaded' in the bottom of the 9th situation -- waiting for another batter to walk up to the plate. That AG would throw a fast ball down the heart of the plate to a batter with a .320 batting avg., if he so foolishly appealed and this case made its way to the current SCOTUS.

I really wish he would appeal, so we can get this ball game wrapped up in front of the same SCOTUS court that has placed runners on two of those bases. Then there would be no need to waste money and time going after California, that communist holdout.

I will say that I we am enjoying these rulings. The only way now to take away our weapons is by a constitutional amendment. I dare them to try that.

All fixed now!

I saw that. Most universities allow firearms. Virginia Tech did not. While the Colorado ruling affects only that state, it can certainly be a precedent in other states with similar constitutions.

Heller and McDonald were huge precedents, they are just served up there for anyone to use

How we ever got to this point that we have to do this to protect our rights is beyond me sometimes. Imagine asking the government permission to have privacy and freedom from unreasonable search and seizure. What if we needed a committee to approve our religion or decide if we can register to vote? Imagine an 18 year old being told he had the right to remain silent, but not until age 21. What if we tell 18 year olds they cannot get married, buy a car, get a credit card, have a bank account. What of Illinois decides they do not want people from other states driving in Illinois? What if they say you can only drive there if your state has the same laws for issuing drivers licenses? What if your state university suspends the 4th amendment on their property or decides that students cannot vote?

There is a lot to do yet but obviously the tools are in place and it has been nearly 4 years since the Heller decision, 2 years since McDonald and it takes about this long for all those lawsuits to start producing results.

It is called "choice" I am simply going to do the best I can to make sure you always have that choice.

Thanks to the mod for correcting the title. Now everyone is happy. :D

corrected. That makes your post seem a bit weird. Maybe you can ask a Mod to remove it? I prefer to leave it here though.

"What if?" Most liberty loving folks would be up in arms. Such scenarios would be just as absurd as the need to challenge the infringements of the 2A now.

You have every right not to own a firearm, that is a personal decision.

Bremerton School Shooting: 9-Year-Old Boy Tells Court, 'I'm Sorry'

The 9-year-old boy who took a handgun to school that accidentally discharged, seriously injuring a third grade classmate, told a Washington court, "I'm sorry," after pleading guilty to three criminal charges, the Seattle Times reports.

The third-grader, who attended the Armin Jahr Elementary School in Bremerton, pleaded guilty to possession of a gun, bringing a dangerous weapon to school, and reckless endangerment.

The paper reports that under a plea agreement, the boy will be required to complete 48 hours of community service, before serving 12 months of probation.

On Feb. 22, the child carried a .45 caliber handgun to school in his backpack, according to police, the Associated Press reports.

The gun accidentally fired after the boy slammed the backpack down. Amina Kocer-Bowman, an 8-year-old classmate, was shot. She remains in serious condition after five surgeries, and is now on a ventilator to help her breathe, according to HeraldNet.
