I have a friend who is living now in Seattle, WA with her husband. She got here through fiancee visa. To make the story short, they sent their AOS packet to California Visa Service. All this time I thought if you came and ur a fiancee visa holder you were supposed to send the AOS packet to Chicago lockbox, I was kinda worried cuz I was helping her out but her husband didn't send it to Chicago lockbox but to CVS instead.

I don't know what's going maybe I just missed some details about where to send AOS packet. she just told me today that her interview will be on April 3, 2012. Can anyone who is kinda well informed about this AOS thing clarify things up for me? It's just fun being posted thou am curious.

Thank you very much!

Why did you post in the Canada form and not the AOS forum? Moving to AOS forums.

You are supposed to send the AOS package to the location listed on the instructions. Which is Chicago lockbox.

If you send it to the wrong location, there will be a significant delay. USCIS will eventually find your package and send it to the right place in most cases, but you'll waste a whole lot of time.

CVS? They sent her AOS package to a pharmacy?

Ok, you probably meant CSC - California Service Center. When they first made the switch to using the Chicago lockbox for intake they were forwarding improperly filed petitions that were sent directly to a service center, but supposedly stopped doing that a few months later. I've heard that some petitions were still being forwarded rather than being rejected. If she's already had biometrics collection and been scheduled for an interview then it sounds like the petition got where it was supposed to go. Your friend was lucky.

hahahhaha! omg! my bad! I just noticed that. Yeah I meant CSC! Thank you thou, my friend is really lucky. Her husband keeps on arguing about where to send the visa he's kinda stubborn and he was like , "See? I told I did the right thing!" In my mind I was like dumb ####, you're not reading the instruction carefully you're being lazy. Well, happy for my friend not for him. Thank you

hahahaha! I am really sorry. I meant CSC! ^_^

Happy weekend

oh No! It wasn't me it was my friend. They had a quick response thou, it was actually fast now she's gonna have her interview pretty soon. She is just one lucky girl!

It wasn't me it was my friend's husband's fault. I even sent them a cover letter that includes the address of the proper lockbox. Her husband is being lazy not reading all the instruction. He even argued about it
