Just wanted to add myself to the list, filed for AOS beginning of march.

To the person above me: you can go to the ASC early and they will just take it?

When my husband had his biometrics for his naturalization application, we went to the NJ center several hours ahead (since he could not take time off from work) and they accepted it. No questions asked, no one even saw the time. Not sure how it is for the GC biometrics, though. Guess it varies from one place to the other.

Mizzao, I apologize for leaving you out of the list but I will add you right now. Can you please let me know when your bio is scheduled for?

We went to the Atlanta ASC for the bio on 03/16/12, and were in and out in about 15-20 minutes. No questions, no problems. The officers didnt even look at the date or time on the bio letter.

I filed for my AOS on March 9th and NOA was March 15th. How long after the NOA are you suppose to receive the biometrics appointment and do you get a notification that an appointment letter has been sent to you?

It really depends what state you live in if the local ASC center is busy or not. Look at the signatures or the timeframe I keep posting and you will see the difference.

I don't think I have seen anybody from TN. Although the timelines give me a good knowledge of when it should be but I pray I can have something certain in my mail soon to confirm when it should come up. I don't plan a work-in bio because it's a 3 hour trip from where I live, don't want to get there and they will say you may have to come back more so I think one need a notice to do that. What is the consequence if one misses the bio date as a result of sluggish or missing mail?

My biometrics appt was completed today @ 8:00am. At the local USCIS place, they were checking all letters and were not letting people in even if you were 45mins early for your appt. So, I doubt they would have let me do an early walk in days or weeks before if I had tried. Good thing I didn't bother doing it. BTW...the USCIS staff were excessively friendly. I was almost spooked and was awaiting one of those moments you see on TV when you open a door and (SURPRISE) you are in cuffs...LOL.

If you miss the bio, your application is considered abandoned. But, as you have just received the NOA1 mid-March, I am just thinking your ASC is super busy and thats why you havent received you appt letter yet.

If you look under the Feb 2012 filers "Classybee" filed in Feb and didnt get the bio letter until in March.

So, wait 2 weeks and if you still dont have it, then call USCIS to request one.
