There is no answer to this.

I plan on bringing 15-20 (still need to get them printed) which shows either one or both us with each other's family and friends. Include as many as you feel is needed.

I emailed my lawyer 20 pictures of either myself with my wife, my parents with my wife or my parents with my children; of those she picked 15 and submitted them with my application. There were also a couple of the wedding thrown in there.

15-20 from throughout the lifetime of the relationship seems to be the sweet spot for photos. That plus the birth certificates of any children born to the two of you, plus life insurance documents, joint bank account statements, etc. should see most people through without further issue.

At my interview, he wanted "1/2 a dozen" just of the wedding alone -- exact quote. Must have family in it for them to be worth anything. I can't even imagine using civil wedding stuff. An IO like I had, that would be rubbish. Keep in mind I had a small church wedding with my mother and aunt in law in attendance. Actually, mom in law took the actual photos I presented at the interview with my own camera. My mom in law wrote an affidavit letter and I still got beat up about the "legitimacy" of my marriage....LOL. Thanks for the kind/encouraging words guys. They are really great.

PS: I presented him an album (which he kept btw!) of 38 photographs of my wife and I together at DIFFERENT locations. That was just a fraction of photos I had on my laptop....and he wasn't satisfied.

U will be fine! I know its pretty easy to say that, but really i have never read in this forum someone was denied. Im sure during next week u will see on their website ur card is in production .

I assume that you purposely didn't list all of the other documents required (I-94, passports, SSNs etc). If that is the case, then what you have looks good to me.

In my application I only included the first page of our bank statements, but I am taking the entire transaction history to the interview so that they can see it is an "active" account and that joint transaction are made daily.

I haven't included call history. I am just taking the section with my wife's name on it and our joint address and the section which shows that my cell number is also on the account (family plan).

With regards to joint bank account statements, I chose an arbitrary month and then printed off every statement for that month for the previous 5 years.

If you have children together then don't forget to add in certified copies of their birth certificates as well.

Okay so if I no longer have a lease to our house what to do? Our lease ended 4 years ago? So we have been month to month? Insurance: I cannot add him to mines until after he has his gc! He was on it from oct 2010-November 2011 when they canceled him off because my job switch insurance companies and the new will not take him until open enrollment which is in August! All bills are in my name! We have 2 bank accounts in our name! Any help will we appericated

Dear friend, you need to work hard the next two weeks, try to find all the evidence possible, they already send you a rfe for the I-485, that mean that they were not happy with what you sent. Take your computer to Bestbuy or other store and usually 60% of the time they can recover what you had in a bad or broken hard drive. You need copy of your old lease showing the same address where you live right now and under both names, it doesn't matter that is expired if you still living there, the affidavit from your landlord is A+. Print out the bank account statements showing that you BOTH use the account daily. Try to get some affidavits from friends and family. Is not too late to take some extra pics with your family and friends. Credit cards? They can make letters saying that both are under the same account and the bank too... was not ease for me at the beginning but they did it. Make a trip together and take some extra pics. You need both drivers license with the same address (you should have your drivers license now with you EAD or any document from any company that show your name in that address) . Show them proof of your past insurance with both names, they will understand if the company change but it's A+ if you show things that happen in the past. Switch to family plan in your cell and ask for a letter with both names if you cannot get a statement on time for your interview, they will tell you they do not do that but you will ask to talk with everybody and the supervisor and you will explained that USCIS is asking you for that. Just seat down for a moment and try to be in their shoes (IO) what do you do and what documents you will ask for to be sure "that couple" have a real marriage. That worked for me when I was putting my paperwork together. Nothing is too much... If you are prepare you will have the control of the interview. needless to say we have tonnnnnnnnns of pics together including when we were teenagers when i was 16 and he was 18 and it clearly shows bc since he joined military he physically changed got more buff and stuff and i just look a little older but we are now 22 and 23 yrs old. so i am definantly brining that and my scrapbook from the beginning of our relationship which shows us with both our families and friends not just us alone.

as far as lease goes i initialed and signed it as did my husband.

so we got

-lease

-joint bank acount

-bah (basic allowance for housing) that the military gives us which clearly states me as his spoouse

-scrapbook

-profession wedding photobook from shutterfly from the big wedding

-pictures of the courthouse wedding

-more pics

-hubbys life insurance listing me as beneficiary

-medical insurance contract with our names on it.

-receipts where he bought the enagement ring/wedding ring

-receipt where i bought furniture

-both our birth certificates original and translated

- i-94

- both our passports

-naturalization cert for USC

-marriage liscense certified copy by the courthouse

-taxes/w2s

-all my USCIS notices

-copy of his military orders

-extra wedding invitation with rsvp card.

-pictures from prom night

going to try and get a printout of the DEERS info

cant get any utilities yet

and no car insurance bc i dnt drive yet

tyvm! im super excited and nervous all rolled into one..i actually didnt even sleep very good last night it started getting to me..we leave today so we can spend the night at jacksonville bc our appt is at 8:30 then after the appt we head home to visit out families for a little vacation. =D
