Woot, interview success! They split us up, but barely asked us any questions other than what was already on the forms we filled out. Didn't ask to see any of the documents we brought, either, other than to make a copy of my wife's ID, and approved on the spot. Welcome letter is supposed to arrive in 5-10 days!

Congratulations!!

Can you tell us what is your list of stuff u brought for the interview?

On May 29, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I am freaking out! This is my thrid notice here's the other 2!

On May 24, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

On May 21, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Is this normal??? Help!!

I got 2 or 3 of them too before i got my EAD .. first they order card , second they mail it, and then they inform u about the usps...

Nothing to worry about really. You will get it this week ...

I am one of the ones who havent had a chance to write one. But due to death in the family, I was not able to log in for a while during the funeral preparations and such.

But, worry not, its really as easy as a pie.

We were barely asked 3-4 questions, names and dates of birth, address & parents names. The major question we were asked is when and how did we meet. Thats it!

We provided all the joint bills, bank statements, lease and basically were approved.

Good luck to everyone whose interview is coming up!

Yes, I mean when they are doing the background checks and other stuff before you get interviewed.

For the list of stuff I brought, I basically followed what was on the letter, and also brought several pieces of additional "evidence of marriage" such as photos, bank statements, investment accounts, tax transcripts, etc. We even brought pay stubs but I think those were unnecessary unless you need to prove that you are above the income limits. One thing that you'll need that was not part of the I-485 application are your USC spouse's birth certificate and ID. They made a copy of my wife's driver's license but didn't bother with the huge pile of other stuff that we had.
