And as fully expected, this afternoon I received an email notifying me that on the March 20th a notice had been mailed for a request for evidence and that my application is now on hold.

Oh well, I knew that it was coming and I am just happy that someone is actually looking at my case

Hopefully the letter won't take too long and we can have this back in the mail to them shortly.

Mine arrived yesterday.....but I'm out of town so will respond to it next week. I was right though since it was scanned and emailed to me. It was the I-864. Just need to provide completed tax returns for petitioner and sole joint sponsor. For the latter, I only mailed copies of the 1040s (will mail return transcripts this time) and for the former, I didn't fill out the I-864 income page (I know...dumb) and did not include letter explaining exemption for the petitioner from filing a fed tax return (income threshold) so this is an easy RFE to address.

Didn`t get any NOA on the mail yet...

I been checking my mail box 4 times a day thats how anxious I am about it...

Ugghhhhhhhh

:bonk:

Judging from your timeline, you received the text messages on the 12th and it does say it may take 7-10 days and I assume they mean "business" days, in which case today is only the 7th business day and the 10th business day isn't until the 26th-- so you are well within the time-frame.

But I know what you mean, I was certainly nervous waiting on my hardcopies also since I had been out-of-status for so long and it finally meant that I was legal again-- don't worry they will arrive!

We mailed our paperwork on 02/24/2012, and received emails & texts for the acceptance of out I-485, I-765, I-130 on 03/02/2012.

We did not file I-131 as we are switching from F1 and my hubby was out of status.

We have not received the mailed NOA1 as of yet.

Good luck to all the March filers!!

How do I join the March 2012 AOS filers list?

I have question to those who received their NAO on the mail

What does it says on the envelope ? and whos names is used the USA Citizen or Immigrant name?

Does its says United States Citizenship and Immigration Services or just the abbreviation USCIS?

Can you tell that the letter is from The Immigration Services?

Im asking because the mother of my spouse wont be happy with it? She believes that I married her daughter to get the Status. Go figured Mom's in law !

I no longer have the envelope but the I-130 is in my wife's (USC) name and the others were in my name. You will get one for each Form filled (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)

Yes, the envelopes are pretty distinct. White envelope, blue type writing.

The letter itself is even more distinct! With the "United States of America" written across the top

I can't recall the front, but I am pretty sure it is "United States Citizenship..." and not abbreviated. The letter itself has "Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship & Immigration Service in the top left.

In-laws--

Well fortunetly her opinion doesn't matter in the official approval

Well I dont live with my spouse yet, We are on the waiting list for an apartment.

So I 130 its on her address

I 485 and i 765 are on mine address so im guessing she will get i 130 on hers and i will get the rest on mine

Interesting part is that i didn't received any Email notice she got em all . I did request and email notification on my email for I 485

Will see , Its complicated but everything will fall into place
