Hi guys! Please help me check my documents for my interview. We're getting ready to leave tonight for my interview next week May 22nd.

The documents I have are the ff:

- Original Copy of Marriage License

- My Birth Certificate

- My Husband's Birth Certificate, Passport Biographic Info (just in case), Divorce Decree

- Bank Statements for the last 3 months (joint account), Explanation of Benefits for Dental and Medical

- Tax Transcript for 2011 Married Filing Jointly, Tax Transcript for 2010 and 2009 as well, My Husband's Pay stub's for the last 3 months

- Wedding Pictures, Family Pictures, Wedding Receipt Expenses

Thats pretty much what I got. Would that be enough? As for utility bills, we are just renting a house and we don't pay for anything aside from our monthly rent. Rental agreement is under my husband's name since he rented this house way before I got here.

Hi! It looks like you have everything together! I'm also including some letters that were addressed to me and my husband only just for proof that we really live together, just in case. And any junk mail we receive to the house under both our names, I have a national geographic subscription together :) hey did u mention you have your I-94? And a emoter letter from your husband stating how much money he makes? I'm bringing that too just in case :) we have the same interview date! What time is yours? And where are you going to? That you are leaving so soon?

Hi there Sally! I have holiday cards that were addressed to me and my husband but the envelopes were thrown away, only the cards are left. I also have wedding cards that were given to us by our family, maybe I should just bring those just in case. I have my I-94 attached in my passport, should we need that too? Yes, I have pay stubs that shows how much my husband is making every week for the last 3 months - you should include that too. My interview is at 10:00 AM in Detroit, Michigan. What about yours, what time and where? We are leaving early because my husband will also have a job interview tomorrow down by that area.

This is a great idea and I highly recommend it. At the very least you can try to get a letter from the landlord that states they are aware you are living there.

I have done a LoT of reading on this site and searching local USCIS office reviews since I joined and a couple things seem to stand out consistently.

The IO's really like as many joint documents as you can provide - it makes there job easier and your interview less stressful.

The other thing is that they really love pictures. Especially if those pictures include other people besides the two of you or they can clearly see a passing of time in the pictures.

If you come prepared with a good amount of those things your interview can typically be a breeze.

Good luck to those going in the next few days!

NEw question::

again ID question, im paranoid but my EAD came in maiden name which is fine but my interview letter came in under marriage name which is fine too i gues but when they ask me for ID i wont have anything with marriage name im thinking marriage licesnse should be fine along with my passport since i have to bring it anyways..

this week i sent an order for 2 additional certified copies of the marriage liscense from the court house which im assuming that should be fine.. its not a copy of a copy like i did for the Bio appt.. its legitimately from the courthouse..i actually plan on opening it there even.. so they can see its legit. should i be okay?

I am not sure on your ID question...why can't you get some ID in your married name before the interview?

In regards the the marriage cert. I feel you are being overly concerned with that. I photocopied mine for the main packet and also brought a photocopy to the interview for them. I had the original with me but they didn't ask for either that or the extra photocopy...he just used the one in the original packet I had sent.

Since its from the Courthouse and comes with a seal sure they will know its legit. I submitted certified copies of my marriage license when I sent my packet but I will bring my original/duplicate for my interview.

As for the ID, you're fine.

Yes you do. You were only required to submit a photocopy of it to begin with and the interview notice just says to bring the original to the interview (which is for verification - they don't keep it).

Don't worry about it. Lots of people get a bit too worked up over this small stuff. Just take a breath and relax...find something to put your mind into for a few days,
