12/24/2010 I proposed. She accepted and stayed.

02/25/2011 Married!

03/19/2012 FINALLY submitted the AOS paperwork: I-130, I-485, I-765, etc.

03/23/2012 Received notification that USCIS has received everything.

03/26/2012 Biometrics Appointment Notice: April 23, 2012.

04/02/2012 NOA's received. Now we wait...

04/23/2012 Biometrics completed.

05/18/2012 EAD card mailed but not yet received.

06/06/2012 Rough interview but we think we're approved! Website says i485 status "Card Production".

06/12/2012 We received the "Welcome the United States" letters! Website says Green Card was mailed.

LIMBO: Green card lost in mail. Facing the possibility of paying hundreds in fees and basically repeating the entire process.

All good now! USPS lost it, then found it.

04/24/14 Back to VJ to get help with I-751, Removal of Conditions.

05/31/14 Mailed I-751 finally, with less than a week to deadline!

06/02/14 NOA1 (that was fast!)

07/01/14 Biometrics

7/25/14 Approved for Removal of Conditions

I got a second email about the card production today too... looks like it's all coming together finally... most of us should be done and dusted during May... which really isn't bad as far as time is concerned... less than 90days from start to finish (assuming there is an 'on the spot' decision) is pretty good going.

Congratulations to everyone who has received EAD's, EAD emails, AP's, interview dates... we're in the final furlong of a nerve wrenching process. I hope everyone gets jobs soon and can get on with the task of enjoying our partners. I know mind has the patience of a saint... I'm so looking forward to spoiling him, just to say thanks!

I have been enjoying my partner plenty. :devil::rofl::innocent:

lol, hm... :rofl: some things haven't been affected... but being so engrossed in USCIS has kinda got me uptight... so although we get to 'enjoy' each other in some ways... we're missing out on others. Besides, not having a job means plenty of time for erm... enjoyment!

Not sure my I-130 remains untouched but I dnt think it's a problem bc the I -130 has to go well in order for the i485 to come into play ya no?

With AOS the I-130 will not change till after the interview,

Hello Everyone!

I had my Biometrics appointment today and it went everything well... On the letter said 9:00AM I got there at 8:45, and at 9:00 I was driving home already... :)

Today also I went to the DMV, to try(ONE MORE TIME) to get my driver`s lisence, once I got a letter from the DMV saying that I was ELIGIBLE to get my driver`s lisence after they check with the USCIS for more information and request my official status...

So once I was there, the guy who attended me seemed again to have no idea what the hell were all those paers, and then he said that my NOAs were not valid because they were supposed to be green and not white. I said look thats what I got from the immigration... then he went to the supervisor room with my documentation and the letter from the DMV and then he comes back 20 min later, and he say I won`t be able to get it because my social security have my maiden name on it, and the USCIS documentation, my married name.... So, to sum up I left the Dmv without driver`s lisence and I was so pissed they will always find a new reason to not give it to me. I gave up today... Waiting for my EAD now....

Today also I got a text message from USCIS saying my case was updated. YAY When I checked the website, it says Prduction of EAD and something telling me to wait 30 days so they can mail it!

Well, I`m happy even after all of this bullshit, with DMV and that my case got a lil behind because with the problem with my undeliverable NOA`s but I`m glad I had no RFE`s for now!

I would actually be surprised if you did not receive your EAD in the mail today, delivery usually takes about 2 days.

When I went to the SSA Office in Denver I asked if they could tell me my actual SSN then and there while I wait for the physical document to arrive in the mail, they told me that they didn't know what my SSN would be at that moment and that I had to wait. Perhaps you will have better luck at your local SSA Office.

FWIW, my physical SSN document only took 5 days to arrive in the mail and the application process was easy, I brought in an already completed application form and my EAD and the person did the rest with very little additional information from me except for a few "yes/no" answers.

-Dec 2006: Arrived with an F1 visa

I second that! the only thing normal about this process is that you can expect anything and assume nothing!

I got mine on May 3rd too and got another one yesterday. I believe it will come. Any other person who got his?
