No worries George, looks like we are down to the final four now + three still pending approval.

I hope the 4 gets approved and the three that's pending I hope they hear some good news also.. I can only imagine the horrific feeling they have.

Ah jeez it just keeps getting worse. I got instructions for filling out a form today because our green card got lost in the USPS system:

You have to fill out another form, and all your evidence again. And you might get called for another interview!

USCIS will only consider the card lost if it's returned to sender (and ours was not). Otherwise, you have to submit hundreds of dollars in fees. Basically you have to pay for the I-485 all over again, and maybe get an RFE or another interview.

No that's not true... I never heard of such thing ... Just apply for replacement .. The A# on your I-485 is your A# if or request it on form.. The lease you'll have to do is do biometrics again

If you had received the email saying that your permanent resident status has been registered, then there will be no need for a second interview etc, I think. I do not know where the snag is in your case, but you have a green card for all practical purposes, only thing it is not in hand. I am sorry that you are having to go through this!

I would suggest posting this in the main AOS thread so you can get more exposure and probably better advices. It doesn't seem like any of the March filers went through the same ordeal. Good luck

UPDATE: Received the new SSN card today, sans the 'Valid for work only with.....' stamp.

Applied June 19, card received July 16.

So far, so good.

Yes go too Uscis.gov and you'll see the change of address link .. Click on it and follow instructions.. It will allow you to do it online
