I thank you MrsNotBonJovi,, I am ...double checking and prepping myself,,,, I just hope my I-94 is not an issue... I don't have the original... Only a copy photocopy I took couple years ago, my original was water damage and wash out along with my entire passport... Only remains I have are 1 or 2 blank pages the passport cover "front and back" my visa and 1 or 2 pictures of me.... But I do have a new passport ... So I'm walking with both damage remains and new passport... But I-94??? The copy should be of right??? I'm scared I think that will be an issue, I mean the copy shows my I-94 number my name and the date I was admitted until when I was suppose to leave...

I think the copy of the I-94 should be alright. My sister filed her AOS with only a copy of her I-94. She had mailed the original to INS back then to switch her status from visitor to student but we moved and never followed up on that..#young&dumb

Hi everyone! First congrats to the ones approved and good luck to the last interviews!

I have a question... now that I have my GC, do I have to go to the SSN office to get a new SSN CARD that doesnt have the DHS Only thing?

Yep the number stays the same except it won't say valid only for dhs work or something like that and i changed my name while I was at it so I'm officially my hubby's last name

You are not required by law to update your status with the SSA and so you are under no obligation to do so. Your current SS Card with the DHS endorsement is still valid and your GC is still authorization from the DHS that you can work. So if you want to make another trip to the SSA Office then you can do; but you don't 'have' too.

FWIW, I went the day after my GC arrived and it was just as easy as the first time-- my SS card arrived in the mail 5 days later, just like before. So basically, if it isn't an inconvience then I would just update my information with the SSA and be done with it

I started looking for a job as soon as I got my EAD approval email and managed to secure employment within 14 days. So far I am pretty happy with my employer and working in the US in general-- the vacation time or lack there of sucks though, but there is not much i can do about that... just happy to be legal, making money and in the next 63 days I will qualify for health insurance through my employer

Your Case Status: Decision

On June 29, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

No, it often goes back to decision. Don't be surprised if the online updates fluctuate for a few days. The USCIS online updates are not perfect.

I think it is gonna be ok, my friend. The same kind of thing happened for my EAD. It was in production and went back to decision, but I received EAD.

Yes I am sure, just give a read on this topic and other month's and you will see that the switch between decision and card production and back again happens to nearly everybody.

Most people receive their GC in the mail within 8-12 days after their card production email, so it very well could arrive in the mail either Saturday or Monday. If I was you, I would make an infopass appointment and get the stamp in your passport to be on the save side.
