Our final interviews in June are upon us, good luck to Srarious2008 on Monday & Dri Au Pair on Tuesday.

Looks like Tuesday will be a busy interview across the board, the April filers have 5 others interviewing this day, including one from Philadelphia (same location as Dri Au Pair). Chimcham's interview is also on Monday, so between the two groups there will be 8 interviews taking place on the 25th & 26th.

Background Information

-Dec 2006: Arrived with an F1 visa

-Dec 2007: Met USC.

-Dec 2009: Got Engaged.

-Jan 2010: Fell out of Status.

-Oct 2010: Married USC.

-Feb 2012: Filed I-130/AOS

I-130/AOS Timeline

Day 0: 02/25/12: Mailed concurrent I-130/AOS Package to the Chicago Lockbox

Day 2: 02/27/12: Package arrived at the Chicago Lockbox.

Day 5: 03/01/12: Email acceptance confirmation received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765.

Day 13: 03/09/12: NOA1s received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765. Biometrics letter also received and scheduled for March 27th.

Day 24: 03/20/12: Email notification for RFE.

Day 27: 03/23/12: Hardcopy RFE received in the mail.

Day 31: 03/27/12: Biometrics completed.

Day 40: 04/05/12: Mailed off the RFE.

Day 44: 04/09/12: RFE Delivered.

Day 46: 04/11/12: USCIS received RFE and case updated online.

Day 55: 04/20/12: EAD approved!

Day 60: 04/25/12: Received 2nd "EAD in Production" Email.

Ours is Tuesday in Newark! I am nervous and I have been having horrific night mares about the interview to the point that I haven't been able to sleep!im scared bc my landlord has yet to give us a lease or anything all I have are bills I will post my list of wht I'm taking once I am home! :(

Don't worry too much about it. Just gather as much as you can and let God do the rest. Just prepare for your interview!

3/21/2012 (Day 0) - I-130, I-485 and I-765 sent.

3/23/2012 (Day 1) - Delivered to USCIS.

3/27/2012 (Day 5) - E-Notification that paperwork received.

3/28/2012 (Day 6) - One check for $1,490 cashed & cleared for I-130 and I-485.

4/02/2012 (Day 11) - NOA hard copies received (x3), case status available online & bio appt. also received, dated 04/12 @ 8:00 AM.

4/10/2012 (Day 19) - Case status online says changed to RFE received.

4/12/2012 (Day 21) - Successful biometric done.

5/11/2012 (Day 50) - Complete RFE (I-864) received. Case status online changed to RFE received.

5/16/2012 (Day 55) - Online case status says: Card/ Document Production.

5/21/2012 (Day 60) - Online case status says: Card picked up by USPS.

5/24/2012 (Day 63) - EAD card in hand.

Sadly, I must report that even after a successful interview, one can find oneself caught up in red tape.

We got our "Welcome the United States" letters, website showed we were approved, that the card was mailed....

The card never showed up. Someone apparently put the wrong zip code on it and no post offices can seem to find it.

I'm hoping human intervention by caring postal employees will get us our green card. Otherwise, we'll have to wait past 30 days then go through whatever process one goes through to replace a green card that never arrived.

02/25/2011 Married!

03/19/2012 FINALLY submitted the AOS paperwork: I-130, I-485, I-765, etc.

03/23/2012 Received notification that USCIS has received everything.

03/26/2012 Biometrics Appointment Notice: April 23, 2012.

04/02/2012 NOA's received. Now we wait...

04/23/2012 Biometrics completed.

05/18/2012 EAD card mailed but not yet received.

06/06/2012 Rough interview but we think we're approved! Website says i485 status "Card Production".

06/12/2012 We received the "Welcome the United States" letters! Website says Green Card was mailed.

LIMBO: Green card lost in mail. Facing the possibility of paying hundreds in fees and basically repeating the entire process.

All good now! USPS lost it, then found it.

04/24/14 Back to VJ to get help with I-751, Removal of Conditions.

05/31/14 Mailed I-751 finally, with less than a week to deadline!

06/02/14 NOA1 (that was fast!)

07/01/14 Biometrics

7/25/14 Approved for Removal of Conditions

Hey guys, im so nervous.... but I just want it to get it done, ya know....

One thing: the focus of the interview is on the USC or on the immigrant?

I dont know if I should take care of the papers( cos i know every single thing about the process) or should my hubby USC take care of that? The thing is he is not as involved as I am, and I am the one who been in this website researching and reading and he even says I should tr to go get a job as an immigration lawyer... :yes:

The thing that bothers me and worries me is the fact that he is not nervous at all, he say we have nothing to prove, and that im crazy and he blame the visa journey for making me obssessed... im just scared he is not paying the amount of attenttion we need...

Our interview is tuesday and today I asked him just joking, asking him questions, when is my birthday, he say: October?

my bday is in FEb, and Im freaking out, I cried so hard after that! hubby is driving me nuts!

I hope im right and im just overobssessed!
