Again, it varies and there is no pattern.

Some people like VJ member TeamKatman got theirs in 29 days from the date they filed and Strumfulina received their card in production notice on day 58. Others however have have gone to their GC interview without ever receiving an EAD. So like most things with the USCIS, there is nothing definitive.

As a general guideline however, my RFE letter stated that they process the EAD within 90 days pursuant to Title 8, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 103.2(b)(10)(ii).

Is there an approximate estimate of how long it takes from e-mail confirmation to receiving the first batch of NOAs through mail? I received the email confirmation on March 24, about six days ago. How long does it normally take?

The email you received says that you should receive your paper-copies in the mail within 7-10 days. I take that to mean 7-10 *business* days, so if you got confirmation on March 24th, I wouldn't expect anything in the mail until at least April 3rd through April 6th, but if it comes earlier, great

FWIW, mine arrived 8 days after receiving the email notifications, but no two timelines are the same.

Look at my timeline as well. Mine arrived on Mon after a weekend. May have been here sooner I guess. My bio letter got here first. You will notice that my timeline and that of ChrisPG (above) are pretty much dead on.

what type of mailing service did u use? USPS or USPS express ? price ?

USPS express mail. 40$

Took it to the post office at 3pm in NY. Arrived the next day in Chicago at 11:58am.

That is crazy expensive, I sent mine via regular USPS from Denver for a little over $8 and it arrived at the Chicago Lockbox in two days-- not quite sure the extra $30 is worth it to save an additional day. I guess the weight is also a factor though.

It is expensive, but it was very heavy, the piece of mind that I can track it online, it is guaranteed mail delivery, and signature it required was worth it for me. I had a horrible time with it anyway... dunno if I could have waited for a few days :s I would have had a heart attack

That was a waste of money. Sent my stuff to USCIS twice (priority) for a little over $5 and both times it has been there in less than 48hrs. BTW, USPS is usually flat rate. If it fits it ships. I have been shipping with them for over 10years with no problems.

Well not much I can do about it now. And I used the express mail envelope and everything at a post office. It's just 40$ may it be my only hiccup just supper happy the process is rolling

Hey, if it is anything like mine then it will be very anti-climatic.

I went in, handed in my Biometrics letter and ID they took a look and handed me a white form to complete (name, age etc etc) and then they stamped my Bio letter twice (one for the I-485 and the for I-751). They then took my fingerprints numerous times in different configuration, took my digital signature and then a photo and that was it.

I was in and out in under 10 minutes, no questions it was all very informal.

not much, she'll fill out a form stating for what she is getting the fingerprints for, and then she will get her fingerprints taken. And done: should be done in 10-15min if no waiting time.

good luck to you too! I really don't know why they even take biometrics for people already in the states. The US has at least 10 SETS of my fingerprints. They do it every time I cross the border.
