Does the NVC send you a notice when they forward your package to the Embassy?

Do you get some type of notice (letter, email, text, etc.) when they actually forward your package to the Embassy? Or you simply wait for the "Package 3" email from the particular Embassy?

Nothing for us until the Embassy sent the appointment letter.

Yes, you get a letter in the mail, but is usually a few weeks after it occurs. I recommend calling every couple of days and then look in your mailbox 10 days after they say they sent it.

I got a letter for NVC with the embassy case number and a notice that my petition had been forwarded to the embassy. Of course I had already called and emailed NVC and got that info weeks before.

D N Medellin, I received a letter from Bureau of Consular Affairs alerting me that the petition will be forwarded to the Embassy. I received this letter about 2 weeks from NOA2 date. If you provided the NVC the eMail address of your fiancee, she should get an eMail with a reference to packet 3 and 4.

Since it sounds like you already know that your petition was forwarded to the embassy, you can schedule the interview on-line now.
