I recommend calling your State Senator. I did and it busted their asses into gear. His office sent a letter after we received no word and eventually they got back to us because an official was on their case. Keep e-mailing them and bothering them!

Together since 5-23-2002

Engaged 8-27-2008

Married 1-1-2010

Process began 9-1-2010

In my arms 2-28-2012

Well you got married and filed a 130 for a spouse and then a 129 for a fiancee visa, which is wrong because you were already married. Even though this was years ago, and supposedly closed, it is possible that those applications may be causing some delays as they sort things out. AP is tough and can take time. Perhaps now is the time to contact your senator or congressman and see if they can get a handle on this for you.

agree with the above - contact your US senator and your US congressman

You will have to give them permission to see your file etc - there is some form for it.

But that seems to be the way to go - talk to your attorney - ask them if they will do this for you - if not - i see people on here doing that all the time.

Good luck - and i see you have been "away" for a while - keep in touch with the people here on VJ - they seem to be a good bunch ;-)

i don't think so either senator or congressman office are able to resolve your issue my case is in process of being sent back and we sent plenty of emails to embassy and even my fiancee begged the consular and tell us to give us a chance for second interview or look in to our case profoundly but senator office got back to us just told us something is wrong with our paper work and i should wait for the case to be sent back and what sort of help is that if they can't do anything who is going to Assist us from the immigration department of senator office told us they can't help more than that so i would suggest you to contact Administrative Appeal Office they might be able to help we had so much expectations that senator office will have our case stop at embassy will scrutinize and find out the reason of revocation of my case so its useless

I-130 + I-129F = first step for a K3 visa.

She didn't do anything wrong.

Hi Fatima,

My husband has been in AP for almost 15 months. It's hard to stay strong and positive. I read my Bible and pray a lot. My husband is my rock. He tells me everyday that he will be with me no matter what and that everything will be alright. If it wasn't for his strength I would have given up on the visa a long time ago.

You have been through a lot with the embassy. All I can say is your marriage and your love must be very strong. I pray that your AP ends soon and that your husband will be issued a visa.

contacting your senator or congressman won't do anything. An attorney won't do anything...I've been where you have been and the embassy is just doing whatever it wants. I suggest the only way that we will be able to anything is if we file a complaint collectively. I have been in AP for 8 months, told my case is being sent back for revocation, then told back in AP. They won't return our documents. Honestly it is pure emotional torture. I hate it and I don't think that us individually can make a serious complaint. I think we should do so collectively.
