Help..a.s.a.p i-864

So i recently received an rfe for my i-864 i am using a joint sponser and only sent the form for my joint sponser. They are asking for mine. I have not worked since 2009. How do i feel out the form. I was also told to write a letter stating why i have not worked since then. What do i write. Thank you

You fill out the form by answering the questions on it with the truth. Then you write a letter saying why you haven't worked. We cant tell you what to write? we don't know why you haven't been working and its your letter not ours.

You fill it out as the petitioner, just follow the instructions. If your income was $0 put $0.

I suggest you write why you have not been working, for example "Unemployed for past 36 months due to work related injury" or "Not able to work for the past 36 months due to illness". Whatever your situation is write it down. Keep it simple.

Bottom line is to tell the truth. You can't create a reason. If you have been job hunting and couldn't find a job based on the economy and high level of unemployment, state it. If you were not looking and had income coming in to support yourself, state it. Again, just tell the truth.

Yes you have to fill one out. You are the primary sponsor, even if you made no money.

You must fill out I-864 even if you have been unemployed. The box you will check off with be petitioner. Refer to this guide and scroll down to AOS packet, you should include all these things on the list. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse

No. You fill out your own I-864. It doesn't matter if you have a co-sponsor, as the petitioner for your spouse, you are the primary sponsor, even if you have no income. Just write a statement as to why you have not been working, no matter what that reason is. Also state that you have not filed taxes for the last 2(?) years since you have had zero income and were not legally required to file.
