Anyone have experience with last name on birth certificate being mis spelled from that of the parents?

Seems an i replaced a L on the certificate

Never corrected

Any idea how this will pan out?

Hello there, I had a similar problem with my name itself and what I did was to get a Affidavit of Name Correction and people need to sign saying that your name is spelled wrong and the right spelling is...this 2 persons need to be know to you such as uncle, auntie, brother or sister nothing else!

Thanks so much!

I see yours was a first name

This is a last name and was never corrected!

So parents last name will be one letter different than that of thier child.

But I guess it is same situation

I did save your Affidavit of Name Correction document

Did you have any problems?
