I'm all moved

I thought I'd write so anyone who is planning on crossing via the Alexandria Bridge in Ontario near Kingston could read up on my experience.

Since I got my visa in Montreal it has been a whirlwind of excitement.

Moving day was 2 days ago, and the border was relatively easy.

We drove up, told them we were entering on a K1, the man asked for both our passports and my packet from Montreal and told us to go inside.

Once inside, you wait to be called, they take your fingerprints again, and picture. They asked us when our wedding was, Marach 18th for us. Then they asked if we knew about AOS, AP, EAD. I said yes I was well researched. They put a piece of paper and a stamp in my passport..which is my I94A and I am all set. I made a list of all the things that were in boxes in the truck, but they didn't even want it. They didn't even look at the truck.

And then we were off. I arrived here in Cape Cod late and tired but none the worse for wear.

Now, it is 2 days later and I am happy to say that this morning I opened my own bank account no problem.

So, I have started to reaffirm myself in the US...next on the list is the SSN. I am well prepared for it now having read up on VJ.

I hope this helps anyone else who may be going through Ontario for their land crossing.

I'll be posting shortly I'm soon but probably in the AOS section until I get that all mailed off.

I have to get a marriage license and figure out how all that works!!
