So, tomorrow after work I'll be leaving for Frankfurt for the interview, which will take place on Friday morning. I hope everything will go smoothly... I hope everyone is doing fine here, despite crappy VSC stuff. I will be thinking of all of you! Wish me luck, I'm getting nervous

I am so mad and (excuse me) pissed right now. Remember we had received our NOA2 two weeks ago? We called NVC yesterday to find out our consulate case # and ask whether our papers have been sent out to the consulate already. I just got a message from my fiancé:

"Been spending almost 2 hours on hold (2 calls). They made a typo and have the wrong date for my birthday, so they won't give me any info. They told me to mail a copy of my passport to them. I'm on hold right now to verify everything. Unless there is something I'm missing, I'm mailing it out at 9:10 in the morning. Might take a month or more. They won't give me the consulate number of our application until that is taken care of. So we are held hostage. The customer service rep is as soulless as someone who wants to take a man's dog away."

We had thought that after waiting six months for our NOA2, things would go smoothly now, but I guess because some stupid person made a mistake, we have another long wait before us now. Nothing more to add.

Omg that sucks! Well maybe it wont take as long as they estimated, try calling again maybe you will get a rep who drank their coffee before coming to work.

Yes. Total incapability has a name = USCIS. We did everything right, but thanks to them, everything seems to get messed up. I just hope we will get this sorted out soon.

I just re-checked the copies of our I-129F and G-325A, and they all have my fiancé`s correct birth date on them. So it is definitely a mistake by USCIS. According to what I have read on VJ from other people who had this happen to them, it might slow us down another 20 days for them to correct it (if the petition is still with the NVC), or it might have already been sent out to the consulate, and it will have to be corrected there.

This is what USCIS gets from unmotivated, inadequately trained and compensated employees, and WE, the applicants, are right there in the middle of this mess. This is just maddening.

You need to submit an expedite request based on USCIS Error. Your supporting documentation is your application and G325A. I would call them and take care of that. There's no way you should have to wait an extra month because of their screw up.

I'm so sorry.... but I don't think it will take that long. Show your proof and demand an expedite as it isn't your fault at all!

Thank you guys. The thing is, we aren't even sure if we can demand an expedite, because they won't even talk to us (in fact, they hung up on my fiancé yesterday!). You know how they ask for the petitioner's and beneficiary's birth date as some kind of proof when you call before they tell you anything? That is exactly our problem.

Wow they hang up? If there are different people answering, she should keep trying and very sweetly ask for help... that's a tough one! I'm so sorry you're snagged at this stage.

Even though you guys are on a completely different time scale to me, I find myself checking your thread daily, hoping you (tigerflower and co) have been approved. I see that lil column for march on igors list almost 25% now and feb at 75%

I'm also selfishly hoping that boxes of files get sent to csc, or that csc runs out of petitions and has no choice but to take on some of the vsc workload. My timeline estimates 7 months wait, of which we're only 2 months in, while csc july filers are getting theres now :bonk:

Yes, they hung up on him, couldn't believe it either when he told me about it. He's so mad at them right now; I don't know if he can ask for help "very sweetly" ;) (I don't blame him). We will scan his birth certificate and passport bio page and send it to them via e-mail tonight, expaining the matter to them. I guess that is the only thing we can do right now.

Thank you for your encouragement... you're welcome in our little group. We must seem like a daily drama show. Haha. But I understand what you are saying. I do the same thing with the Feb thread... hope they are approved and cringe at people waiting 220 days! I'm at 189 today, yipes. The service centers somehow fluctuate, so maybe VSC will get it's act in gear in time for you. I hope it does, for this waiting (as you see) is agony.
