I just want to post a piece of information I read somewhere about Vermont's. This is what happens after petition got approved.

Petition for Alien Fiancé (e) (Form I-129F)

-All approved I129F petitions are forwarded to the National

Visa Center (NVC) for consular processing.

-Approved petitions are valid for 4 months from the date

of approval.

-The NVC enters the information into the Consolidated

Consular Database (CCD), assigns a DOS Case number

and identifies the appropriate consulate or embassy for

processing.

-If the visa is denied or the validity dates expire the petition

is returned to CIS, via NVC, for housing, termination

or reconsideration.

All,

As you noticed by my last post, I have just been approved. I wish I would jump and scream like everybody else, but I suppose I will be the different one.

I cannot bring myself to it, for the simple fact that I do not feel like it would be fair to all the others who are waiting.

Yes, the feeling is something one cannot describe, but still I think I "literally" know what it is like to wait all this time and I think those waiting deserve some respect.

I will instead give you more information which can help you (or maybe not), but at least it is something.

As some of you know, I called again last week for the service request and finally got it through. I asked to talk to the supervisor and instead the lady told me she could give me a "2nd level" service agent which is what did the trick. we automatically ask for the supervisor, DO NOT ASK FOR THE SUPERVISOR, ASK FOR 2ND LEVEL!

Today I called again to see what happened with my service request since it has been a week, so the lady on the phone said there was no service request on her screen, so I asked for ths supervisor (stupid me again!), but she instead tole me she would give me the 2nd level agent who HAS MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE SPECIFIC FILES she told me.

The 2nd level agent confirmed that the 1st level does not have any information on the file and immediately found my service request. She said she could not comment on it because an answer was mailed to me on monday already.

Coincidence or not, 5 minutes later I enter the website and it is approved!!!!!

So, it is really hit and miss, but depending on who you speak with it might really make a difference, was it a coincidence?

I know nothing one can say will change anybody's situation, but all I can say to you is that I was there, 5 minutes ago, right there with you, and now I am out, so this is not something you read somewhere, you actually see the people getting approved, so take this into consideration when you are tired and depressed, because it really happens to all of us.

I do wish you all a quicker journey, and I feel even more for those behind us, from April, May, June, imagine what they will still have to go through?

I hope things will change so they donot have to go through this too.

Best,

Andrei

How very kind of you to consider us. Thank you. But please go outside and do a funky chicken dance or something! You've earned it, and we are very close behind you. (L)
