Hi everyone,

I just discovered the March filers thread and thought I'd jump in. My NOA1 was March 5 so I'm hoping for an approval in the next three months or so. I was wondering if anyone had seen any recent touches? Its exciting to see that both processing centres are approving petitions for this year, and its great to have VJ as a resource and a support.

Wishing you all good luck and a speedy approval!

Hi and welcome :)

We haven't received any touches. I know that touches don't mean anything, but it would be so cool to hear something about the petition every once in a while. We are almost three months into the waiting now though, and it feels good to know that at least more than half of the official waiting time has passed ... And yeah, I also just saw today that CSC is processing January files!

Hi all, another German filer here! NOA1 date was March 8th. No recent touches, the last one was March 18. There have been a couple of approvals of January filers at VSC last week, but I am trying not to get my hopes up too much, since it seems like they always approve more petitions by the end of a month (maybe it is because they have to fill a certain quota?). Other than that, just waiting... waiting... waiting. -_-

I believe VJ is inly a fraction of the actual number of petitions they receive each month, which is nearly 2000. So just because you don't see approvals do not mean they are not working. Yet, it's still difficult not to see the perceived stagnation.

Yes, Visajourney members are only about 5% of all K1 filers, but I think that even though we are only a fraction, Igor's List does give you a basic overview about proceedings at a certain time. Up until a couple of weeks ago, we saw a constant stream of maybe 15-20 approvals per week, give or take a few. Then, in the beginning of May... suddenly hardly any approvals anymore here on VJ. So I'd say that even though VJ is not necessarily representative, it does show that there is a slowdown to SOME extend. :(

What I wonder most is how 95% of people can DO THIS without VJ :o

I imagine doing it without VJ means they don't sit here and think about it all day long!

HAHA! You are probably right. I envy those with so much patience! All these estimates, timelines and processing times are just what they are....ESTIMATES. :( The only thing that is for certain is that we will be waiting another 2-4 months. Some of us less....some of us more. (Keeping my fingers crossed is it less for all of us). We are at the mercy of USCIS and this painful waiting process.

Hope for best, prepare for the worst but know THERE WILL BE A HAPPY ENDING!!!!

I completely disagree. For a while I have been monitoring Igor's List, which by the way is dependent on whether or not people are updating their timelines. The more accurate statistic of a slowdown is to go to the USCIS dashboard that gives you the trend and raw data of petitions received, processed, completed, and awaiting customers' action. There may be a bit of a lag but you cannot make that assumption based on the progress of VJ timelines, which have too many variables in its assumptions to come to a reliable conclusion.

Well, this is your opinion, I have mine. I never said it is completely reliable (it can't be with being only 5% of all petitioners), what I said is that it gives a BASIC overlook over processing at a certain time. I'm out of this discussion.

alright, so here's a question:

does anyone know how this works? i mean: when you go on the timeline-page here, where it says "processing dates for common forms", right now it says vsc is working on petitions from january 24th, but then when you look at the actual igor's list for vermont, the last one was january 9th. Although the "processing dates for common forms" site kept changing throughout the weekend, even though igor's list didn't get any updates (well, of course, due to the weekend). Still, that other site says it's based on member's data. i looked through the updates on igor's list and found out that one person actually got an RFE on the 8th (but they got their NOA1 on january 13th) and then there was another december filer who got an RFE today. that doesn't have anything to do with january 24th, but still: that other site changed to january 24th today - so, how does that "processing dates for common forms" get its updates then? i hope you guys get what i mean - i know my post is kinda confused.... ;)
