Excellent. The congressman in my area is a guy about a year younger than me and graduated from the same University. He will be getting a call, though I doubt I'd speak directly to him.

Not to discourage anyone, but VSC already has a standard form at the ready that my congresswoman recently received, saying they will not expedite any petitions outside normal processing times. They know they'll have a bunch of angry people and have the Spin ready to send back. I'd love it if we all called at once and bombarded them.

Robert&Karina  My congressman told me that my K1 visa was approved on August 30th but USCIS lost track of everything until today. I lost 12 days time because of USCIS. If you are waiting more than 6 months for your NOA2 i would recommend calling your congressman to find out more information. Soon after my congressman called me this morning with the great news USCIS updated their website saying that my K1 was approved and is in post decision now.

Mine put in an inquiry yesterday...so we'll see

The trick here is that they were not looking to expedite anything. They just wanted to know about the status on their case, and upon inquiry from their ongressman vsc realized they messed up in this case. Their case was approved but nobody knew, because vsc messed up, alL they needed was to raise the flag so someonewould see it, and it wored for them....

Excellent. Since I am beyond six, I'll try again. Worth a try. Who knows... If we all get calls going in, maybe they'll wake up lol

Wow, according to Igor's list, vsc has started working its a** off ;) also, csc seems to have slowed down, which could really be a sign for vsc finally speeding up again, since apparently there must be some kind of mysterious secret law stating that only one of the service Centers can work fast, while the other one has to almost completely come to a halt ;) should really be any day now for those of you still waiting and i am sure we can all spend Christmas with our loved ones in the us!

Hey guys

My NOA is dated 21st March. I called them a few weeks ago and they said that it was 5 months + 30 days before they would entertain us (for a service request).

I fear that when I call them in the 6th month, they are just going to ask me to wait 5 months + 60 days.

Has anyone managed to successfully get them to process a service request?

I'm so tired with dealing with incompetent/nonchalant/dismissively rude agents.

Will appreciate any advice.

Not sure on the March ones, but for February, most get a NOA2 or RFE after 6-7 months. There's nothing you can do at 5 months, when you see 5 months as an average on the USCIS site add a month and a half to it I'd say. There have been successful service requests, but I'm not sure much is actually done. Like if people get their congressman to contact VSC, the normal feedback is you'll hear something in 15, 20 or 30 days. Is anything actually done or do they just let the process take its course? Who knows?

Be strong, it will come.

I guess I won't be calling my congressman after all:

On September 11, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

and to think, i just opened this site to calm me because this wait is so painful:

http://www.rainymood.com

2 minutes later, I get an SMS that my case was updated and to check it online.

It would be so nice to dance in the rain right now. Ha
