I wonder, do you run down the street telling people not to kiss in public? Loosen up

Weren't you the one who posted "I wish folks would keep their preaching to themselves or in their closets."? Do you run by churches or religious people and tell them not to believe? No, you noticed something on the forum that irritated you and you commented. You don't want people slapping their religion in your face. Your statement is invalid.

CatSam, I can't see your NoA1 date as I'm on my phone. What is it? Have you checked the USCIS site for your status? You won't show on Igor's list till you chsnge your timeline.

@tigerflower noa1 is mar26. Uscis shows "initial review", fiancé called call center 2weeks ago and got the same line "processing feb6".

I still have the same info on my timeline (noa1 mar26).

@CatSam. Ok, so you've corrected your timeline so it is showing properly (sucky later date). You haven't been approved yet, so when you finally are, add the NoA2 date and you'll show up on the approved Igor's list. Make sense?

Of course, that date changes, and I wouldn't pin my hopes on it, as Kahaa can attest. It's just an estimate based on other VJ members. Don't lose hope, however, as VSC is hopping all over the place in no order, at a snail's pace.

:o thanks a lot! I didnt have idea that i have to pay 240$ -__-

It was reduced from $350 to $240, and it came into effect since April this year. Fees for visa application, medical exame, police certificate, documents translation (for all documents not in english need to be translated),....can't think of any more to add.

Everyone knows about the hefty fee for the AoS once you get them here, right?

That's after we get married, it costs $1070 in total for AOS.

Don't forget the cost for medical and obtaining necessary shots, police records, certificates of non marriage, etc... Yes it costs.. They should give priority AOS to K1 filers since we do things right...instead of having to wait behind people who arrive on visitors visas and decide to adjust their status. In addition, since our total cost of service is more...we should get better service overall. Our AOS filing fee should be less.

Yes. A lot of people who apply for the K1 Visa seem to forget about all the fees that they will face in the course of the process. Just for the fees, it'll be approx. $2,400 (K1 fees + medical + AOS + ROC). Not talking about all the additional fees that you mentioned, like police records, vaccinations, costs for traveling to the medical and to the consulate, the flight to the US, etc. etc. Unfortunately, "doing things right" doesn't always mean that they will give us the kind of service we should get.
