That's optimistic!

We're hoping to have our wedding on 29th December. Our NOA date is 13th March and we're worried it won't come through in time!

We had little option, the venue we wanted could only be booked on the 3rd,4th or 10th Nov so we went for the longest we could! :(

Same here :)

We'd like either an October or December wedding (October is probably unrealistic)... I'm just hoping we don't have to have it in January or February- Minnesota is too cold!

Timeline

Hi all, we are planning around end of March/beginning of April next year. I have a work contract that finishes the end of February and then I hope to be able to fly out to the States a couple of weeks later. We have a few complications in our case so we have allowed a few extra months in case of a delay. My fiance (the USC) has several previous conivctions which are relevant. Whilst we have declared that on the form and have sent the paperwork we think they need it is making me very nervous we will get an RFE or it will cause delays. I have a clean record though so should be fine with the Embassy in London. And the irony is i'm a criminal defence solicitor lol, although after so many hours of research for this visa process I think I could soon practice immigration law!

For wedding plans my family want me to make plans for them to come over but the more me and my fiance think about the more we are leaning towards a really simple ceremony with just us and immediate family. I will only have been in the States a few weeks and will have so much adjusting to do, I can't imagine trying to plan a wedding long distance. But there is much time to figure out the best plan for us.

I am very excited as Im flying to the States to see my man in 3 days time!!!! I can't wait as it has been almost 10 weeks. Our plan is to visit every 10 weeks until we are closer to the interview stage. But because of my work schedule I can only make trips for around 9-10 days at a time which goes by so fast. But i've been checking the weather for Arkansas where my fiance lives and it is getting HOT! Oh well, I will have to start getting used to the humidity there.

I agree the waiting is difficult, some weeks fly by and others I find myself checking my timeline twice a day! I am glad to be over the two month mark as hopefully we will soon be over the half way point. My timeline is saying the first week of August for adjudication.

Good luck to all of you!

Ok, sometimes I think I am on this website too much! LOL BUT I JUST FOUND THIS...

At the top of the page is Immigration Timelines. Igor's list shows all petitions, when they were filed, when the NOA1 was received and when the NOA2 was received. It filters by service center. It appears that Vermont is now processing January and some of February's petitions! It's not much but at least it shows things are moving and getting closer to all of us March filers! :) Right now I will take any little bit of good news.

I am sure everyone but me knew about this (ha ha)...but just in case I thought I would share. :)

Have a great Memorial Weekend all!

Hello everyone,

NOA1 was March 20th. I was very excited. Then, I started searching for information about this process. It seems that the results at the various service centers are very inconsistent. Some petitions go through in as little as 2 months, others as long as ten months. I understand that this is a huge government bureaucracy that we are caught in, and we really can't do anything but wait. But the fact that you are kept in the dark about whats going on...it adds to the stress level. Look, if I place a gift in a fedex box and take it to the Fedex center, I can track that package and know where it is every minute of the day. I sent a petition to the USCIS and all I can do is log into the site and see that it is in "Initial Review" stage. I really understand what all of you are going through. Those of you who are able to spend time with your fiance or fiancee are fortunate...it makes the waiting easier. All I can say is good luck to all of you, be optimistic, and one day you will look back on this process and... ???
