That's to save face for them.

My fiance suggested we all get on Obama's Twitter and bring up the problems there...with election so close, who knows?

My dream was really messed up. I have a tattoo an my neck, a quote. And in my dream, when I looked in the mirror is said "Initial Reviev". I am insane. That's a fact :bonk::)

Maybe you responded to this already, but have you contacted your congressman/woman? Have you put in a service request? Have you done anything yet?

It's also to keep people from putting in service requests and contacting congressmen. Though we are at 6 months of waiting, since the average is now 7.7 months, we are all considered with in the time frame. Sneaky... Sneaky.

I wrote in my calendar two weeks that could be when my love's visa would be approved. The 5 month marker based on our "touched" date. And the estimated date from vj... Last night I noticed the vj estimate had pushed back one day. Today i see it moved back again. This is heart break city.

My K1 petition was received by USCIS on March 8th and my NOA1 was dated for March 12th. I wanted share that I called USCIS yesterday to put in a service request. I told the rep that I believed my file was out of the normal processing time of 5 months for the Vermont Processing Center. She replied that was true and then quickly changed her response to say that the 5 months was only an "estimate" and it should really be in fact 6 months before it was out of the normal processing time. Right now, they are only up to processing Feb. 6th petitions?! She told me that she wouldn't be able to put in a service request and I was told to wait another 30 days before calling back.:(

I will be calling back on Monday, as I'll be out of that range by then. I'll also contact my congresswoman again, telling her I'm past the six month mark. And I will call every day, I don't care.... I've nothing else to do. :)

keeping my fingers crossed for all of you!

the good thing is, we all know that feb 6th is NOT true... there are many march approvals on igor's list already, so it is really just something they say, so they don't have to put in a service request! you could all get it any second now ;) keep your hopes up!!!!

also, we called just 2 days before we got approved and they told us the same thing: working on feb 6h, nothing they can do, not out of normal processing times (still: i don't get this!!! more than 5 months IS out of normal processing times, when their normal processing times are 5 months, but oh well...) and then we got approved 2 days later! so it is really coming when you least expect it!

You reminded me of that! My fiance is calling them now. And yes, we sent the letter to our congressman last Saturday. But no response yet, probably because of the weekend and Labor Day.

The system doesn't allow them to create a service request. They claim they are working on Feb 6th. The guy was really nice, it not his fault but hey! I'm REALLY FRUSTRATED.
