Are you the beneficiary or petitioner? if you're a beneficiary, you will need that form along with all the financial evidence from your fiance. It is required when you apply for a visa at the embassy. Your fiance's income need to be over the poverty guideline. Here's a link to get more details on the poverty guideline: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

Thanks for your answer , but there is a difference between minimum income competing in form I-864 and form I-134 ?

You may want to read the difference here http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#8

Do the Same Income Requirements Apply to Form I-134 as Apply to Form I-864?

No. The 125 percent of the federal poverty guideline minimum income requirement, the most recent year's tax return, and other requirements only apply when Form I-864 is needed. Applicants presenting Form I-134 will need to show that their U.S. sponsor's income is 100 percent of the federal poverty guideline.

So my fiancé must provide :

-a statement from the bank with deposits and the details like : date account opened and deposits for last and present year

-copy of last income tax return ( self employed)

That's all ?

Dear VJers

Can anyone who has received their NOA2 tell me what I need to send to my embassy when I receive my NOA2?

I'm a little confused, do I send the affidavit of support (I-134) then? Or do I bring the hard copy evidences to the interview?

Thanks guys

Charlene

Hi Charlene, seems like it depends on the consulate. I can only speak for Germany, but over here you have to send it to the consulate before the interview, along with all other documents like birth certificate, police report, etc. Best to check your regional forum and maybe ask some people around there.

Hey thanks for the link, I read that a few times too, but apparently it varies from person to person

I'm not sure if its because different embassies require different documentations.

But between getting NOA2 (ie what to do after getting that) receiving packet 3 and sending stuff back to your local embassy.

It seems pretty murky too me. Even my over paid lawyer cannot tell me exactly what forms i need to send back to embassy. So far I only know the confirmed forms I need to send back (after I receive packet 3) is the DS 156/DS156k/maybe the 230 part 1.

Good question charlene ,

I think we must bring it during the interview , im confused too .
