Oh no... don't feel that way. I know we will get there eventually - and now we've decided to meet in Canada for a short time, (hoping I can get some flights that aren't too ridiculously expensive).. it's only going to be a few days really, because he's taking more time off when I come back again. Its a long way to travel for just a few days but I'm hoping to visit my brother in BC as well...

Anyway, I like hearing all the exciting news and imagining everyone on their special day. :yes:

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Well My date is set Jan 5... tuxs fitted... venue rented... still many many things to get ready ...

I am hoping everyone makes gets approval soon VSC is killing me... Congrats to the ones approved and married :dance:

I did not realize how easy it is to get SSN ... it took one day for my fiance to get hers.

YAY !!! ... what a relief it must be to have that all over with.... just wonderful !

(now you're going to be really busy, but nice to know you can just go ahead and book and plan and know you're not waiting for anyone)

I spoke to my lawyer yesterday and got some news about her infopass meeting and my file never made it there to get any specifics. The immigration officer said that what is pending is backgrounds (Name check) which could take up to another six months to get my approval. My lawyer is going to try submitting an expedite request to see if it works if not she will push forward with submitting a mandamus action. This will force immigration in front of a judge in a very short time. Something needs to happen quickly because my fiance in brazil is loosing hope very quickly and i dont know how much more she can take of all this waiting. :(

Wow... I pray that it happens way before 6 months... I agree that an expedite request is in order.
