Good to hear! My fiance's medical is done too so far so good... Hope to have an interview date by the end of day :dance:

The only thing that sucks about it is that you still have to change your name on it after the wedding, which is why most people wait till then. But it definitely helps you getting stuff (like a bank account, phone, etc.). I am going to wait till after the wedding, though.

For us it will be reversed. He can get SSN a couple weeks after arriving; I will then have to do the name change after wedding. Worth it though!!!

Well all I have so far today is that the receptionist told him our Field Office person has all his messages, they are working on it and will try to get back to him today regarding the Case number...

(You'll understand that I'm not holding my breath on this one ..)

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

hey guys i just got my case # from NVC do i need to get the invoice # in order to schedule the interview??? do i have to wait for the pack3 toarrive to get it or the NVC can give it to me??? i appreciate your answers
