Hi everyone,

Well I arrived in the States on Saturday for a 2 weeks visit with my fiance. Made it through passport control with no problem. The officer noticed I had visited in August and asked about that and also asked how long I had known my fiance. When I said 13 years he asked a few more questions but I think he was just intrigued lol!

Yesterday we visited the chapel where we have decided to get married and also looked at a reception place which we both really liked. Just wish our darn NOA2 would come through so we can put down deposits before I fly home.

Today we rang USCIS for the first time to put in a service request. I was expecting it to be difficult based on what others have said and because their website still states 5th March so I had prepared my fiance with an answer for any kind of resistance! It was fine though, we had to wait on hold for about 45 minutes but when he got through to a Tier 2 officer my fiance explained we had been waiting over 7 months now and wanted to put in a service request and she said no problem let me just get some details from you, like address, dob etc. Then she came back to say it had already been assigned to an officer and we should receive the decision in 15-30 days but that she would email a service request to vermont and we should have a response to that in 10 days. Im treating it with caution as I know many others have put in service requests and nothing happened but I hope we get some news soon.

the plane touched down in Laguardia NY and I turned my phone on ... and there is was the buzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I surprised her by saying that there was a bad message message on my facebook ... she was so surprised ..........

@tin-Jen good luck :) I wasn't nervous, I was bad trip haha the pre-screener (filipino) and an American consul were snob :angry: but I'm thankful bec they approved my visa haha

Thanks everyone! Visa got approved! I was pretty nervous, but there was really nothing to worry about! Everyone was very nice and the consul didnt ask many questions at all. It felt more like smalltalk. I will post a review later, taking a nap now, since i only got 3 hrs of sleep last night, due to creepy hotel sounds, too many horror movies in the past and very vivid imagination... ;)
