Good news: Today is mine and my fiancees one year anniversary of our first date!! (L)

Better News: Our attorney cc:'d us on an email asking the Embassy for an interview as soon as possible. Not sure if that will help, but I am leaving to go back to the US in 10 days and would love for him to come with me. Not holding my breath though.

Bad News: The DF-156K requests "Evidence of Engagement to your finance". Umm...this is a problem for us. We have both been married before and our in our 40's. An engagement and wedding are all ceremonial as far as we are concerned. We just want to get married. We will purchase rings when he gets to the US but right now....proof?...not sure if I have any other than a year of waiting for an I-129F to be approved! You would think that would be enough. (Waiting on the attorney to answer my email about this now)

Any suggestions from my VisaJourney family? Signed document by family and friends maybe? My Facebook status change? LOL You know it is official if it is on FaceBook!

Pam (F) Happy anniversary (L) (L) (L) old emails, your boarding pass for the visit in Macedonia, old emails, recent photos shall be enough even more you are there with him

I think they don't mean an actual engagement ceremony or anything like that, but rather they mean proof of an ongoing relationship. I for example have photos, e-mails, Skype logs, telephone bills, cards/letters, boarding passes, a receipt from a hotel we stayed at together, and the confirmation from the place we are having our wedding at. Plus the Facebook status change and congrats from our friends on there for our engagement! Good luck!!! :)

Oh, and happy anniversary!

Actually, what they are wanting is a letter of intent, just like what you sent with the I-129f, only more recently dated.

What can i say all you guys dont already know. I think everyone understands how we feel. Some days are ok, some days are horrible. Some days you hear your loved one crying and telling you how much she misses you and its impossible not to feel anything.

I know im close ( i hope ). I hope it doesnt go past this wk, or today :D

How bout, where to go in the US for honeymoon during this winter. If all gos well and shes here, we are gonna get married ASAP and just go away for some days during end of December / January possibly ( assuming we get NOA2 soon)

Its impossible to go to the beach anywhere in the US.

I'm so sorry... I know that pain.. I'm usually the one crying and he's trying to sooth me over 4,000 miles away. It will all be worth it. This will be something we all will look back on an shudder... but we will survive it!

I looked into it, but the warmest it gets in DEC/JAN is 72-75 and mid 50s at night. While is nice weather its impossible to swim i think. Its too cold. I can probably get in and deal with it, but she cant.

I thought about Clearwater, FL or even the Keys but its not necessarily beach weather.

Well, anything is better than 20 degrees, right? There is also the possibility of going somewhere where the hotel has a heated, indoor pool! I also detest the cold; I'm like a cat and must be warm at all times lol!

A beautiful city to visit, though isn't beach weather, is Charleston, South Carolina. I highly recommend it to everyone. VERY romantic and perfect for honeymooning.

Good hotels to stay at are Double Tree Inn downtown, and French Quarter Inn (spendy). Planter's Inn is very pricey but also very nice.

Does VSC make a change in status when they receive the RFE information? If so when can I reasonably expect an answer to the RFE...? :help:

You know, i heard alot about Charleston. I hear its very nice for this. I think its gonna be cold everywhere we go. So might as well somewhere not so cold and that can be relaxing.
