Good morning Marchies. I got the text this morning as I was walking in to work, then I rushed to log on to the USCIS site to check. Finally my petition is approved. Just like the sentiments of others, although this should be a very happy time to shout it from the mountain top, USCIS makes it a bit difficult because our fellow Marchies (and some February folks) are still waiting. I've bonded with many of you and I will not leave this thread until everyone on our active list is approved. (F) I'm also interested to hear about everyone's next steps (issues, questions, comments, advice, etc) up to POE, so I'll be here beyond USCIS approval. So come on VSC!! More approvals!!

OKAY !!! just woke up to your happy news ... Congratulations - enjoy the moment (F)

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I tried to check but there are so many other types of applications.

Here's how you find your 'window'. Don't even log in, you don't have to. Just go to "Status Update" at the top. Enter your number.

From that point, change the last number of the entire string. Start going backwards. For example, if your number is (randomly picked) WAC123456, change the 6 to a 5. When you hit submit, it should still say I-129f Petition for Fiance. The status may be post decision, initial review, or RFE, etc. Keep changing that last number backwards until the form changes from I-129 to some other form and stop. You now know where your group begins.

Next, type your number in again, and change the last number to a 7. Same process, only counting up. When the form type changes in that direction, you then have the complete group on your stack. Make a Word doc with a table, and list them out, with their status at the right. Label yours, of course as ME :) Does this make sense?

Here's how my stack looked after today....lots of variety:

37 approved 10/9

38 approved 9/20

39 denied 10/1

40 approved 10/9

41 approved 9/20

42 RFE 10/1

43 RFE 10/10

44 approved 9/4

45 approved 10/11 ME

46 withdrawn

47 approved 8/16

48 RFE 10/10

49 approved 10/9

50 RFE 8/20

51 RFE 10/11

52 approved 9/26

53 approved 10/11

So if you have an idea of what's going on with those around you, possibly it can be an indication of when yours will be handled (possibly).

RES--- I can't remember the rest of his user name because it's digits! But he was a later February filer (I 'think' the 28th?), having issues with CSC and his military clearance.

As a side note, I got all the papers together for the senator today and faxed them over so hopefully they can do something. I explained we had tried to get help from Congress, but things seemed at a standstill. They said it would take about 5 days to hear back to them due to the volume of cases  I swear, one more day seems like too much at this point. I'm thinking 'IF' they help us that is five days to hear from them, a few days for them to do something about it, and however long it takes for USCIS to do something on their end. I still feel a long way off from that NOA2.

Yes you can add me to that list of one of the longest waiting for an approval..

Please excuse the dumb question. What recent steps have you taken (Service Request, Congressman, etc.)? Maybe we can suggest something? (F)

hi everyone !!!! how are u??.. im confused about the nvc case number.... how send they?? they dont send this number yet... im worried... where i can communcaite or call?

NVC phone # 603-334-0700, be prepared to wait on hold each time you call (sometimes as long as 30 minutes). Many suggest waiting 2 weeks after NOA2 to start calling NVC...I would suggest to begin calling them about 4 or 5 days after NOA2, thats what I did and had my case number on day 6. Good luck.
