Can I suggest a topic for today? "Do you know how to feed your future spouse?"

I know this sounds funny, but here I am...making all of these "fancy" meals for him and my goodness...he is just happy with just meat and potatoes! This is his culture. A meat, a potato, maybe a vegetable and bread. Although he will eat anything I cook, I can tell he is just eating it to be polite. I made homemade chicken soup this week and his first question was " Do we have any more meat"? LOL Trying to plan meals everyday has actually been a little stressful for me because I want to please him. I am a person that likes variety and one can only cook meat and potatoes so many different ways!

Hopefully when I get him to the US, I can "culture" him a little and expand his taste buds. But for now..casseroles, salads, pasta dishes, etc are not on the menu. I am starving!!!

That's so cute and what a great topic! I am the same wanting to please with food. My fiance's mom is such a great cook; I'll have a very hard time trying to replicate her absolutely fabulous Sunday roasts.... Seriously... Practice, I suppose.

Have you tried a nice corned beef brisket in the crock pot ( slow cooker )?

Im so happy, praise be to God. I got a text that I was approved on Oct 5th, today, no rfe's. My NOA1 was March 30th! So now its time to start the other part of the process. I'll search around to find out what I can get started today. Any advice for the rest of the process would be greatly appreciated.

- my answer is NO, yes I'm dead! honestly, idk how to cook or I should say I'm not good at it. So, whenever fiancé ask me how are we gonna eat I always tell him to cook for himself but of course it's a joke. Fiancé is a sucker of rice and here in the Philippines rice is our main food but I stopped eating rice when I started my diet he said he will teach me so we'll see

Hi everyone.

We sent in our RFE response on Tuesday, last week, priority delivery with delivery confirmation. When we check on the usps site it says it was delivered on Friday, but when we check uscis.gov site its still on RFE, not on RFE response review...

Should I call them or wait? What does that mean- they got it, but my lazy agent still didnt added the response to our case?

They are really messing with my mind at this point...

I just have to say... I am not in a very good place this morning. We're over 8 months now (247 days) and I have never been so ANGRY in my entire life over anything... ever. I feel like I could tear my house down brick by brick; that is just how mad I am. It is the helplessness, the futility of ANY action, the inability to get any assistance that actually is worth a damn from senate, congress, USCIS, VSC administrators... I am mad as hell today. I just really need to vent that somewhere. What is happening here is unfair. Unfair doesn't even begin to describe it. I mean, soon I'm going to have to start hanging out with the April filers because another month will have rolled past me! I feel completely out of options. I simply can't slap on a smile anymore and pretend this doesn't bother me. I am becoming bitter. A bitter ANGRY person. I can't even fully enjoy making wedding plans because everything is just a reminder that I am being totally screwed over by USCIS and dismissed as though my case/life was of no importance what so ever. I am really starting to loose it...

I'm afraid I felt a little more accepting of it all a month and a half ago when I got my RFE. I hope you don't have to wait so long, but at this point it is nearly impossible to think of anything else. It seems like everything in my life is a constant reminder of what's missing from it. I 'wish' we could afford to take a trip together or even just visit each other, but it's not in the cards. Neither of us can spare that kind of expensive at the moment. I know there's nothing we can do, that's what makes it worse. I just needed to get it off my chest.

You have every right to vent, scream, rage... my heart truly goes out to you. You have been utterly patient and such a positive person through this. I know people say to try to look on the bright side, but that does nothing to ease the fury you feel in your heart. The best thing I could suggest is to call their *sses every day. Each and every single day, even twice a day... call them and vent it on them. Declare war and push it every single time you call. What have you got to lose? Be THAT person nobody wants to be and avoids, because drastic times call for drastic measures. You deserve to be approved even more than I do, and I am so sorry it is the case. It is unfair. I don't want to see you move on.. stay with us as you're part of our 'family' now.

Marchies... please if we can help it... if you have a question about NVC or medicals or interviews, for now please PM people or start a separate thread. Until ALL of us are approved, we should remain a haven where all are not reminded and approvals don't feel smeared in their faces. We all know what that agony of waiting is like. Let's try to make it easier on our friends by not reminding them they are STILL waiting.
