Does your heart still skip a beat everytime you click on the "Check Status" button?

Yes... it skips two beats then I re-enter and do a double take to ensure I didn't miss anything. Pitiful, right?

oh you are being so mean today :> What to do that the US is a country of opportunities? These people didn't come to the Stated for KFC or Chipotle.. Many of them have worked so hard to achieve something in life, and usually the did not have a chance to make their own decision... and the way of illegal immigration was probably the only choice they had... I am sorry that we have to wait because of the Dream Act.. well actually, we cannot be 100% sure that this is the direct cause of the delay. I am not happy with this waiting neither, believe me. Those people also pay taxes but they do not have returns as American citizens do. So let's just understand that for them, their cases are also extremely importnat. I don't want to offend anyone, I just try to understand other people..

I certainly didn't mean to upset you. America was built out of immigrants, as most often forget. That's what makes this place so great is its ability to merge all cultures into one. Please don't think I'm against anyone becoming a citizen. I know they work very hard doing what most Americans honestly snub their noses at dirtying their hands with. What upsets me is this: my fiance can't just arrive here and wait until the President decides to give him a break and a giant leap in front of those waiting in a very, very long line. They can wait their turn, just like we are having to. Not cut in front and get priority just for some votes at election year. Does that make sense?

Sure, of course it makes sense. I've never said that their case should be a priority. But actually, this is not their fault that some officials put other cases on hold to deal with all the Dream Act petitions and therefore, as you said, gain some votes... It only made me sad that today's discussion got so harsh :) I'm on yall side, remember ;)

I agree Tigerflower. I'm also an immigrant and naturalized citizen and think they should get in line behind the rest of us. I shouldn't be cast aside for those folks. It's all politics. Plain and simple.

Maybe there should have been better direction as to how the volume of applicants was distributed or managed. If the effect on VSC and CSC had been the same, the wait through VSC would have been shorter making it easier for VSC filers to deal with.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I'm not upset... It takes a LOT to upset me... In fact, when I mentioned that I'm going to a yoga class at the gym recently, my bestie told me I didn't need to go because I'd fall asleep... I'm a very calm person.

Anyway, I just think the way we're being treated SUCKS.

YAY !! (K1ers who are processing via VSC at present would make great adjudicators, being so sympathetic to 'waiting times')

Why do we have boundaries? Why cannot we choose a place to live just because we like it? ... I know, it's a silly way of thinking. I just don't like what's happening to the world today.. All those wars, fihting for resources, politics, deals.. ehh...

Yes Kaaha, I know what you mean. The world is far too complicated with too many conflicts and too many rules. I think some people have stopped talking to me because they don't believe we are actually doing this. No one can believe it takes this long. :(

Yeah, I don't know. If you get your NOA2 after an RFE in two weeks I think you are really lucky. I'm at 35 days and still no NOA2 after sending in my RFE. I feel confident that it will hit the 60 day mark at which point I will put in a service request... and really, who knows how many more days, weeks, or even months USCIS can drag it out after that. I've pretty much given up on the thought that we will be together by Christmas. I certainly haven't put a hold on our wedding venue for next spring because there's no telling if we will be here by then or not. But hey, thank god these illegal aliens are getting their visas so quickly! :bonk:

So my fiance was right ... with the RFE we will not be married till after March 2013 :bonk:
