I wonder how did u or ur fiancé proposed to you?

goodmorning/goodevening!

On the way back through London from his parent's house he pulled me (bewildered) by the mitten through half the city until we were under Big Ben, just at the clock struck 5pm, and there he asked me. It's funny, it was so loud with the traffic and the clock bonging and the crowds around us that I had no idea what he was saying and I'm just looking at him squinting trying to decipher his words (because he didn't get on one knee which is the dead give away!)... I didn't realize he had proposed to me until we were at dinner. Good thing I nodded "Yes" along with what he was saying! Hahaha.

Marchies, does it even make any sense to contact my US Senator? I previously had my Congressman do an inquiry on my case, but they came back with the December timeframe response. I was considering trying my senator next, but since it appears to be close, wonder if I should even bother. What do you think? They're probably sick of me and I'm tired of this process already. Last night I dreamt that I was denied.

@Islandgal, I don’t know what to tell you. It really looks for you like it could be any minute. But then again, the days keep sliding by. Do what your gut tells you to do!

We are the same way @CatSam; we didn’t have a proposal, just started talking of how we want to live our lives together and the K-1 came up. There was one moment, however, driving back from London together in his car, when an Al Greene song came on, and he turned it up and said it was for me, called “Let’s Get Married Today”. We held hands and had that look, you know? That was a special moment…

That must have been the worst nightmare! I would try the Senator, why not.. Stand for your rights because we are being denied of them by VSC :bonk:

We talked with my fiance about getting married before, so it wasn't that official. He came to Poland in May and one morning I woke up with the ring on my finger. I didn't realy have the chance to say "no" hahah (L)

I have just been hit with a RFE, not sure what is it yet.

I am so mad tho, I contracted a lawyer precisely to avoid this.

I suspected problems when you guys mentioned about evidence of relationship submitted, because she didnt ask me for a single one.

I am fuming mad now, because I paid her thousands to avoid this problem!

Did anyone get hit with a RFE? How long did it delay your case by? And was it sent to beneficiary or petitioner? I assume petitioner right?

It is maddening, but I've done so much already.. Phonecalls, Two Inquiries by my Congressman's office, Letter to the USCIS Director, Status Requests and still a big fat NOTHING. PLUS they're approving April. I want to SCREAM!!! But instead I'm still hopeful that it will be today or tomorrow or Thursday. :crying::crying::crying:

A few people have been hit with a RFE and they're still waiting on a response from USCIS. Nick+Elizabeth sent in their RFE response over a month ago (I think). Attorneys are good for nothing in these types of cases, unless you have serious challenges to overcome. Evidence of relationship is not required for your application to be approved. That's for the interview stage. All that's required is proof that you've met in the last 2 years, the biographic forms, proof of citizenship, passport type photos of both of you, the application and other required proof that you're eligible to be married at the time of application and the fee... Sent to the petitioner. Think hard...is there something else you may have left out of the application package?

Happened to me also. Did you send a full copy of your passport? My lawyer just told me to send the first page with picture. The process requires to have seen each other in the last 2 yrs atleast once. So with that said, if you didnt submit a full copy of passport, they cant tie it to your pictures.

Thats what happened to me.

We got the notification on Wednesday (26) and the letter has arrived today. I don't know hat it is about yet, waiting for my fiance to pick it up from the mailbox. I'm praying that it takes them 2-3 weeks to review our response :(
