Hah, I feel the same about the text messages. My phone makes the slightest blip and I go tearing through the house like a mad woman to find it and see if it's the NOA2. 99% of the time it's my fiance, and I'm always like, "Awww.... but.... Yay!!!!" Cause of course it's nice to hear from him.

As far as RFEs, I don't even understand it. I thought they quickly wrapped up those petitions as soon as they came in. I think my USCIS agent handling my case is a total lazy a$$. The worst part is know that when they get the RFE it probably takes LESS THAN 5 minutes to wrap up the case and still you sit there for days, weeks, months... waiting for your 5 minutes to come. Grr. Getting mad again.

Aww don't get mad.... You and I have the same lazy guy. I'll bet our files are side by side on that clown's desk.

Isn't it amazing how precious our phones have become?? ;)

Haha, they probably are. I was joking with my sister earlier how I think they pick the petitions they will work on. I can't help but visualize them all being in one of those giant claw machines. I picture the uscis agent dropping a quarter in and then going after one (with mine wedged up against the glass or something).

And, yes, I check my phone constantly now!

I cannot believe that after the weekend, it will be October. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect that I could survive waiting for the NOA2 till October.

I guess its amazing how resilient the human spirit can be.

Somehow you just make it. :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

I'm so bumped out tho, I was so 'sure' I was going to get my NOA2 this week, since all the people around my time on Igor's list were getting theirs. The two numbers after mine already got their NOA2 on Sept 6 and Sept 20.

Why am I so unlucky? I have somewhat given up hope of getting to the most inefficient country in the world by Christmas! :crying: :crying: :crying:

I mean do the rest of the beneficiaries ever think about this? What kind of country are you wanting to migrate to? For the next XXX years, we're still going to be dealing with all this #######.

Don't give up! You are doing this for love! To quote a movie.... The world bows before love.

Once you are here it will be much easier and you will be together! I also wonder how I ended up in the dreaded forgotten pile, but maybe it's because we are strong. Who knows. I only know it will only be that much more precious to me when I can finally be with my tiger.

America is not perfect, I'll admit, but it is a wonderful place to begin! It's worth it. Hang in there. We are almost out of this prison.

I was just on the US Embassy website reading about the timelines for K-1 VISA's at our embassy in Skopje. Can I tell you that any excitement I had from receiving our NOA2 just exploded. :( Please someone tell me this is just some made up numbers:

*NVC performs a namecheck that requires a reply from the FBI. This namecheck is usually completed within ten days, but some cases take substantially longer.

*It takes four to six weeks for the actual approved petition and its supporting documentation to reach the Embassy.

*On average, the first available appointment (for interview) is about six to eight weeks from the time when the Embassy receives the petition.

ANOTHER 10-15 WEEKS!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!!! I know there isn't that many people in Macedonia trying to get to the US. What could possibly take so long?! This just can't be true....

I feel like I am back in March starting all over again. :(

In Cambodia, it takes 2 to 6 weeks on average for the embassy to receive the approved petition package from NVC. It takes 1-2 months for interview appointment from the day we turn in required forms (package 3).
