Well I've an update for my fellow waiters. My Service Request had expired yesterday, so I waited for my lunch break and called from my car. Of course, that first person told me she would check, put me on hold, and came back saying "They are only processing before February 27th." I then listed off recent approvals from yesterday: 3/15, 3/20 x2, 3/21 x3, 3/23, 3/26, 4/2. There was silence, so I said, "Please transfer me to someone who can help me and not read off a card." She put me on hold for 10 minutes, and I got the Tier 2, but it was for Spanish speaking people. She said it was no problem, she also spoke English, although I could barely understand her. I explained what was happening. She put me on hold. She came back and claimed they had emailed me on Sept. 14th that I was still within normal processing times. I asked her if she considered 7 months ordinary. She said, "No." I then told her we still had a problem. Even though they emailed me on Sept. 14th, it was now Sept. 27th, and I am now 203 days out. She put me on hold again, and came back to say, unbelievably, "They are only processing before February 27th." I then called her a liar, and rolled off the same dates just processed yesterday. She paused, then told me the VSC email address to write to, and list my Service Request Tracking Number as the Subject, for that is what they would use to look it up. So, I wrote out a lengthy email to them and got the auto-response that it was received. Since my second wind was up, I then wrote to my congresswoman for a third time, instilling in her that she should help her poor voting constituent, giving screen shots of VJ processing times, Igor's List of both CSC and VSC. I doubt any of those will really help. But I feel better for unleashing some of this frustration back to the very cause of it. Once again, none of the files on my stack have been touched at all. Have I mentioned I hate VSC? :bonk:

Oh Nooo!! that is just awful... It doesnt make any sense at all.

I have seen another one just posted today for Mar 30. The really bad thing is that they continue to spin out the Feb 27th thing which is just so out of date. So sorry to hear you had to put up with this and in reality, you must be close to getting approved. I would be calling to get a different (english speaking) Tier 2.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Well Thank you Tigerflower for going through this ... You have helped me realize that this process is hopeless to understand... I have to go about living my life ... I can not obsess over this... it is not going to help... Being an engineer I can not deal with unpredictability... I need facts, process, order... this whole process go counter to what makes me sane. So I will not bother to call put in service requests... I have given up on the processes in place to expedite... this will add too much stress for me... I am going to Nicaragua soon to visit my fiance we will get the medical exam and the police background report... that is the only thing I can control and handle... :bonk:

I hate VSC too. I've given up on my congressman...the rep there said December. My next goal is to wait until Oct 15 when they update processing date and do a service request then. What kills me is that they're processing all of the end of March. They're so dysfunctional it's not even funny.

Yep. It goes to prove my theory that you never feel good after calling them. It always makes it worse somehow. 4pm and one approval so far. It's gotten completely out of control.

Thanks for clarifying .. that's what I thought - someone mentioned something earlier and it confused me... Oh well the bottom line is we have done all we can then. Now waiting for them to send us an Infopass apptment card (don't know if that'll help).

Just want some timeline so I know we're not lost in space forever.

So stressful I've become OCD about all this  - horrible how it dominates almost every second - its a wonder I don't go out dressed in pyjamas !

You're not the only one who'll be dressed in pajamas outside! I think all of us will..

On one side of course im happy end of March got processed, but i totally would be upset if I was you seeing all these people after you get processed. Theres no structure. Seeing one get approved after 140 days at VSC is very frustrating. People dont understand how hard it is to be away from the people you love for such long periods of time. Saying good bye to your loved ones, not knowing when you are going to see them again is very frustrating.

Well, I'm just waiting for the email back from VSC, telling me they are only processing before February 27th. Just saying...

Already I'm pointing my hopes to Tuesday, when they might begin working on ours again.

2 people just got approved 1 before me and 1 after me today :bonk: ... In the past 2 weeks 15 people got approved or RFE that I know about from 03/09 - 03/15 out of 26 total numbers

The only thing to do would be to wait for the official phoney "Feb 27" date to pass your NOA1 date. then call for a service request ... because you will be outside the window and past the date they are working on, I wonder what excuse they will use next? :bonk:

What do you all think about us writing a joint letter with signatures and receipt #s from at least 5 of us? I can take a first stab at the letter (I'll be cursing the dream act and its impact to citizens)...emailed to the ombudsman, the service center operations general email, and a couple others? One of us would send it and copy in every one who signed? If you agree let me know and send me a PM. We could also mention their dysfunctional operation and ask why they didn't pre-plan and move cases to California.
