Disney is Not crazy at all!!! I have been three times and only once with kids. :) It was on my list but we picked Vegas...Fast, fun, easy and cheap. Getting married IN A LIMO on the strip. Stopping for cool photos at all the hot spots and then on with our lives...finally!! Oh, and we picked 12/12/12 as our date. Going all out cheesy but we don't care. :)

That's also very cool. We will do "Elvis" later just for the fun of it!!

This might sound crazy but we are going to Disney World!!!! :D

omg, haha. We're doing that too when we visit my folks. Not crazy at all! That will be tons of fun for sure. My Dad says, "Everyone must experience it once in their lives!"

I'm finding harder and harder to stay positive and being patient. Praying constantly like a mad woman and to no avail.--no answer, nothing in the mail, no status change. I want to curl up into a ball and cry! What else have y'all been doing to cope?

This has been one of the most agonizing, torturous process that I've ever had to deal with. My fiance has tried helping me to look on the bright side of things, and yet even his words of encouragement isn't doing much for me. I'm not motivated to work or do anything. I know that I'm not the only one dealing with this process. *sigh* If only I can crawl into a cave and spend the next 2 weeks there with no access to the internet, maybe then I'll feel a little better.

(((Hugs)))) I know exactly how you feel, actually most of us feel terrible sometimes too. What I do is try to go out with people I like and enjoy my life so the wait doesn't seem so agonizing!

Pamper yourself after work, eat some yummy food and desserts!

Tell yourself constantly that the VISA WILL COME! We've waited so long, just a few more months and we'll be reunited for good!

Cheer up! Honey Booboo. Your nick is so cheery :)

You have literally echoed what is going on in my head 24 hours a day. No sleep, no appetite, no interest in anything because your entire life is on hold. I try my best to get work done as I feel obligated to give my boss everything while I'm here. It's the only thing helping keep my mind off of it. At home I try to stay as absolutely busy as I can doing things I'd ordinarily put off, like those little projects waiting in the corners. I also read a LOT... This is the most miserable position I have also been in during my life. And it's all because it is all pivoting around one single human who is a sloth that doesn't even care. I cry a lot alone and also send out prayers. But there is a government involved that is simply THE machine and won't be changed.

Vent here, whine here.. it's why we are all here. And when we read what you write, we can all cry and nod and say "Exactly!!!". It does help to let it out. We are here for each other.

I totally know how you feel. We're still waiting too, obviously. It really does suck the wind out of your sails. That's the same thing I was saying to Nick also, that I felt so unmotivated lately because of all of this. I'm not sure how to make it seem less excruciating. I try to stay busy though and that helps some. I do a LOT of cleaning, and generally just getting the house ready for Nick when he gets here. I started doing Roller Derby, haha. Though the season just ended for this year. I wish I had something encouraging to say  This process sucks.

Nick Lachey ... this is what I am feeling right now .... Life seems to frozen in time and I afraid of fading away ....

Watch my life,

Pass me by,

In the rear view mirror

Pictures frozen in time

Are becoming clearer

I don't wanna waste another day

Stuck in the shadow of my mistakes...

I just checked the numbers around mine and the one immediately after me was denied yesterday. It scares me that some petitions are denied after waiting all this time. I wonder why in some cases they issue an RFE and some they flat out deny?

On a positive note - I have enjoyed reading the stories of how everyone first met. I applied to do an exchange program in the States after I finished High School and happened to be placed with my fiance's Aunt and Uncle as my host family for a year. I ended up meeting my fiance a few days after I arrived and after a few nervous dates we became inseparable. I was lucky to be able to have a full year dating him and getting to know him. The following summer he came to England for a couple of months and stayed with my family. What followed was many years of of ups and downs and each doing our own thing here and there before we finally got it together last year, 13 years after we met lol! Its so funny to look at pictures of us from 1999 we look like schoolkids!

What a great story! You'll have it to tell your grandchildren one day.

There should be a reason for the denial. The one right after mine is labeled as Decision, due to withdrawal. I guess they got tired of waiting.

In my grouping of 16 petitions, all have been touched but 3. I am in the list of 3. Everyone else has been with approved or received an RFE.

That means you are next!! 8 left on my list.

They sure are going slower than I thought they would for a Tuesday on the end of the month, but it's only 2:30 EST yet. Out of curiosity, did they start at either end and work their way to the middle with your stack, too?

I feel bad complaining of my RFE when i read you guys. Im at work, not concentrated one bit. I am going to feel a lot better when i send this packet in tomorrow.

One VJ member helped me out by sending me a template for affidavits. It helped out tremendously. I did 5 this morning and everyone has signed already. 3 got notarized this afternoon. Good cooperation from friends and family.

I have all they asked for. Now im just gonna swing by office depot, get some nice tabs, deviders and give them what they want to see.

I need a break. This is stressing :D

One a side note my boss says my 3 months trial period at this new job is finally over and now i actually have vacation and sick time starting next wk if need some time off and actually get paid for it. I wish i had some today as i am very stressed and jet lagged still.
