WOW. You are a model in patience!! I know we will all cheer when you get it!!

I think they tell everyone 60 days just to keep us off the phones. I hope your congressman helps..

Hah, I think the last week or so I've been anything but patient! I'm starting to feel like I'm going to loose my mind if we don't get approved soon.

Yes, I got the text at 7:45. For some reason I didn't get an email even though my email address was there, and I got 2 texts. I guess they were trying to make up for the 6 1/2 months of silence.

That's funny. I've heard all sorts of weird things: people not hearing anything till NVC contacts them with their NOA2 approved weeks prior, Sunday approvals, no text/email/website update but hard copy comes... I guess there's just nothing predictable about VSC. Well, beyond that whatever they do will be at a snail's pace!

Feel free to vent/rant all you want here; make yourself at home. This is a great group that is very supportive. I probably whine the most ;)

That is beautifully said. Nothing else could have described the reason we are all going through this!

I wouldn't worry about the RFE things... if you get one, you get one. If not, you're off the hook and free. I think it depends on the person reviewing your case. Just wait and see. An RFE isn't a denial, just another speed bump to get out of VSC prison :)

From what I read , I gave them

Most of the stuff they're asking for just not in the way they wanted to see it.

I think in some way you have to lay it outike they're stupid or simply like they have no time to be figuring it out I guess..

I thought i layed it out pretty simple but I guess I really have to make it much simpler

My only real concern is the affidavits . Do they have to be notarized? Witness simples? Anyone knows this info?

I guess I want a sample

I don't think anyone here has gone far enough through the process to answer your question. Perhaps you should start a new thread with this question for a 'master' to answer? :)

My fiance received a notification from USCIS today. He asked me to check our case status again to see it for myself...there it is Post Decision Activity.....oh my gosh! we are approved without RFE. Just as I am about to lose hope, now I can breathe again. What a sigh of relief!

On September 24, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

Guidelines would be wonderful! It would suck if you did all this work and they still reject it because it's not what they wanted to see. My dad has worked in the government longer than I've been alive. He helped me compile some of my paperwork (though he clearly has no ties to speed up this process) and told me that his boss has rejected EMAILS because they were not in the format desired. Talk about high maintenance.

For your affidavits, I don't know the details of your RFE, but I met Jayson working so I had the boss write a letter explaining the nature of my job, and the relationship he saw form between Jayson and myself. It wasn't notarized, so we'll see if we get an RFE. But it was just another letter of evidence. Actually we had two letters. One from our boss and one from our pastor. I dont know if that'll help your cause though. Just throwing things out there I guess.

Basically my RFE calls out for a couple things. One is that i need dates on my pictures. Even though i provided with many pictures, to them, this is not proof that it was in the last 2 yrs or so.... go figure..

So now i need to reprint the pictures in order and put a date on them and i need to provide proof that i actually did these trips with boarding passes tickets, hotel etc.. In this case i have only etickets as i have no boarding passes for the first time we met. Basically a good timeline with supporting evidence. We have this. This is not a problem.

But basically the first time we met was at a wedding, so i have the eticket, the wedding invitation, and a picture with the bride and groom where both of us appear in. Of course several pictures of the party together.

I didnt send all my passport, so of course now im sending all the passport on this time. Also it calls for all the sheets in her passport also. Not a problem.

The only thing is the affidavits. I can write all affidavits and have them ready and signed if i had some kind of template. From what i read, some say they must be notarized while other people say theyre not notarized, so i really dont know what to do here.

In my case, notarizing something for me is a matter of a couple hrs. For her its gonna be a matter of a couple days and thats what i want to avoid.

Oh no miguel.angel

Your post just made me freak out. I hired a lawyer(worse decision ever) and she didn't request for any relationship evidence whatsoever.

I'm so worried that at this point, they are going to ask me for a RFE for evidence of relationship. I will be so mad at her!

Sorry about your RFE tho, on the bright side it means that someone is seriously scrutinizing your file! Hope everything speeds up from now on for you!

Hey guys, back to the states here. I received my RFE today. I sent them tons of pics and emails, but they didnt feel like reading through it i guess. I need to sit down and write it down and be very specific with dates, whats what and so on. I need to write dates on the pictures and basically build a case step by step

Not hard, but so frustrating that after all this time they respond with something like this.

I think its the usual RFE when they want more proof of meeting on the last 2 yrs. Anyone had to send letters/ affidavits from friends?

You know guys, this is a very tough wait for all of us but I'm very glad I found this forum with you guys inside!

Nobody else outside of the visa process seems to quite understand and emphatize with the situation.

We're very close now, I hope by the end of the week most of us will hear some good news!!!! 4 more glorious visa approval days to come!!!!
