I agree with you. I honestly think it depends on the person who is reviewing it, and their mood that day. They are so inconsistent, it must be that. We can only hope. And because this delay is so long, it makes all of us bonkers and rethink things and worry!

What you submitted is fine. I only did the passport pages (copied the entire passport with my many stamps), car rental receipts, boarding passes and no photos. I completely forgot the photos. I only sent the passport sized photos of both of us. So we'll wait and see.

If you send part of your passport, you need to send the whole thing. You can't just send in a few pages. They make it clear to send the entire thing in. I used it as my proof of citizenship because I didn't want to wait more time to get my birth certificate from my parents several states away. I'm nervous that the rule that it has to have a validity period of 5 years will cause and RFE for me. When I sent the paper work in I had 5 years... But october will officially be 4 years left.

It's official you guys... We are starting to really panic. We are thinking through everything wondering if we are to get RFEs or denials. Going slowly insane. I'm convinced my petition is taking so long because the government knowns I've been looking up ways to sneak people in to the US in case this visa fails. :innocent:

This should be okay.... I'm going mad trying to be patient. A RFE at 6+ months would surely suck.

Precisely! At this point, an RFE would suck, but at least it would be something!!! This Twilight Zone waiting is pure misery.

Stop panicking!!!! It will be okay! I just wished we had gone the CR1 route now. I'd be well on my way to hearing SOMETHING from VSC.

You know how after staring at an image for so long you can still see it very clearly even after closing your eyes? Well the image that is burned into the back of my retinas that I still see when I close my eyes to sleep at night is a blue dot overtop the words "Initial Review". Hahaha.

I like to think our government and it's employees have too much integrity for that. I would lay the fault at the resources and management rather than the people who maintain the processes anyway. You can look through the work that they do and it is A LOT! I hope that any caseworker (who glances at VJ) at VSC knows that when I moan it's about the lack of a plan in the face of changing needs that I have a problem with and not the individual workers.

I blame the reorganization of the system a few years ago, the contractors administrator and Homeland Security administrators for failing to be nimble enough to change course when they see the mountain of work piling up.
