I'm curious about those following this topic. At what point in the evening do you give up hope of getting your NOA2 for a given day? I'm usually convinced by 9pm EST that it is another day of nothing.

I noticed they usually give approval around 2-5 pm..Mine I got at exactly 2 pm (2am Philippine time)..

I usually give up at like 11 p.m. (5p.m. VSC) and I just go to sleep... And it's gonna happen in 30 minutes :) Keep your fingers crossed, I'm going to pick up the results tomorrow, I defended my thesis last Friday. I hope I did well :)

You did great for sure! Goodluck and I'll include you all in my prayers as well..:):innocent:

So it's Friday again. Last Friday was a disappointment and I am less than hopeful for this one being any better. I'm pretty sure VSC works half days on Friday or just takes off all together.

This routine of waking up every morning, frantically checking my phone for phantom text messages or emails from USCIS, then reading VJ posts, then trying to be hopeful for the current day or the following week is getting old.

Monday and Tuesday there is a lot of hope, Wednesday and Thursday I spend most of my workday refreshing a site watching a blue dot never move, Friday is grim, and then it's time to find a way to get through the weekend just to ride the rollercoaster again. Oh and let's not forget the Sunday evenings refreshing the web page hoping..

My life and mood has become consumed by the F5 key on my keyboard.

Every day is the same day and now starts another one.

I hope there is a firestorm of approvals for us today.

We were approved last night!!!!!!

Everyone, don't lose hope, you are SO close!!!!

This helped me: "happiness is reality minus expectations". Change your expectations with VSC. I wanted NOTHING more then to spend the holidays with my fiancee, and that only was making me upset and making me have meltdowns because there was NOTHING I could do about VSC. FINALLY, I started planning on my fiancee NOT being in the States for the holidays, and started making plans to do something together in Europe (albeit having to spend more money on airfare, hotels, etc). But once that happened, I became SO much happier and relaxed. I stopped worrying about when it would come, stress disappeared, and of course, the minute I stopped worrying about them, thats when we were approved!

Look back at my posts. After I called USCIS last week, I had my last meltdown, gave up on EXPECTING this to happen soon, and you'll see my personality change to happy in my posts since then! It seriously helped so much!!! We started talking about different trips, changed focus, and our stress plummeted.

I think and hope EVERYONE in here will be with their SO's in the States SOON. This process is SOOO stressful, I hope everyone has the great news I had last night VERY, VERY, VERY soon!!!

I just did more research and I thought I would share with everyone what I found. I don't want to be the Debbie Downer of the group - I am just concerned as I am an April 5 filer. I played with some numbers with Vermont and found some of the new dream Act petitions starting around Aug 20 or maybe earlier. Yes, Vermont is taking those petitions because they have nothing else important to do (sigh). I can not believe the number of petitions that have come in. They are FORWARDING ALL I-130's to another service center!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so angry right now.

The part that really upsets me - the I-821D applicants - (Dream Act) gets approved within 90 days.

I guess that is how many days until election day.

Has anything like this ever happened in the past before? If so, how long until things were back on track??? Makes me wonder about that December approve the Congressman estimated......

It reminds me of one article in the news (Washington Post) I read last month. They started to accept this type of application (The Dream Act) since August 15.
