I hope I did not double post this but here is another link I found. Interesting - attorneys got involved to speed it up at VSC. Maybe we should join together with this group - the AILA???

"September 5, 2012

An American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) liaison committee has expressed concern to USCIS regarding the significant delays in adjudicating cap-subject H-1B petitions. The liaison committee reports that USCIS understands AILA’s concerns and has made adjudication of these cases by October 1st a top priority by adding additional resources available. USCIS states that service centers are doing their best to adjudicate these cases as soon as possible. We are hoping that this is the case and employers will not be forced to upgrade to premium processing."

Congrats to everyone that got approved. Still hoping the best for everyone else. It can't be that much longer, I hope.

I'm curious about those following this topic. At what point in the evening do you give up hope of getting your NOA2 for a given day? I'm usually convinced by 9pm EST that it is another day of nothing.

Well for me it's a roller coaster... first waking up, finding nothing's changed. By 10:00 I'm a little hopeful, but afraid it's a day off for them. By 2:00 pm when the approvals start coming in, I'm excited. I keep hope until about 10:00 pm and then I'm depressed. Horrible cycle, I know.

I just did more research and I thought I would share with everyone what I found. I don't want to be the Debbie Downer of the group - I am just concerned as I am an April 5 filer. I played with some numbers with Vermont and found some of the new dream Act petitions starting around Aug 20 or maybe earlier. Yes, Vermont is taking those petitions because they have nothing else important to do (sigh). I can not believe the number of petitions that have come in. They are FORWARDING ALL I-130's to another service center!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so angry right now.

The part that really upsets me - the I-821D applicants - (Dream Act) gets approved within 90 days.

I guess that is how many days until election day.

Has anything like this ever happened in the past before? If so, how long until things were back on track??? Makes me wonder about that December approve the Congressman estimated......
