Hi folks :) pardon me for bombarding with so many questions. I just want to make certain like always. I am only sponsoring my wife from Indonesia.

PART 3 #8

On the instructions is says: "Indicate whether you are sponsoring the principal immigrant listed in item 2 in this Form I-864. This only applies to cases with two joint sponsors."

I am the primary sponsor. I have met the Federal Poverty Guideline.

I'm confused as to why the statement "This only applies to cases with two joint sponsors." is included.

QUESTIONS:

1) do I put a check mark in "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above."?

2) do I put a check mark in the box that says "Yes"?

PART 4 #13

QUESTION:

Should I leave it blank or write "Same as above"? I know it's not good to leave anything blank on the form.

PART 5. Sponsor's household size

Please let me know if i entered these correctly:

21.a) from line 10, I entered "01"

b) Yourself, I entered "1"

c) if you are currently married, I entered "1"

QUESTION:

21.h) Is the total of my household size "2" or "3"? It's so confusing when they word it, "Add together lines."

PART 6. #24.b)

QUESTION:

Since I am the sole income provider, should I leave these fields blank or write "None," or "N/A"?

#25. Federal income tax return information.

I have not filed a tax return in 2008, 2009 because I was in college and unemployed.

I did file in 2010, even though I was employed during October – December 2010.

I will be filing on April 14, 2012 since it's the earliest appointment I could get with my accountant.

QUESTIONS:

1) Should I check the 1st box which states, "I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years…"? Again, literally it says "three most recent tax years," which is what confuses me again.

2) I will include a letter as to why I didn't file during 2008 and 2009 because I was unemployed and attending college. Along with the letter, should I include evidence such as a photocopy of my diploma, certified school course transcripts, registration forms, or report cards?

3) Would it be better to submit a copy of the IRS transcript rather than a W2 and/or Form 1099?

#30

QUESTION:

Should I literally PRINT my name using a pen or can I type it through Adobe Acrobat?

Thank you very, very much in advance for your time and patience with me.

This is for when there are several family members immigrating with the principal immigrant.

QUESTIONS:

1) do I put a check mark in "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above."? Correct.

2) do I put a check mark in the box that says "Yes"? Yes. As well as the box that says ''I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above.''

PART 4 #13

QUESTION:

Should I leave it blank or write "Same as above"? I know it's not good to leave anything blank on the form. Don't leave it blank. This is where you put your information as you are the sponsor.

PART 5. Sponsor's household size

Please let me know if i entered these correctly:

21.a) from line 10, I entered "01" Correct.

b) Yourself, I entered "1" Correct.

c) if you are currently married, I entered "1" No. Don't count her on this line again as she is already listed as the principal immigrant. These forms are used by people in different situations. That's why it is confusing. The instructions say ''do not count anyone twice.'' The number would be 0 for this line.

QUESTION:

21.h) Is the total of my household size "2" or "3"? It's so confusing when they word it, "Add together lines." Your total household size is now 2.

PART 6. #24.b)

QUESTION:

Since I am the sole income provider, should I leave these fields blank or write "None," or "N/A"? I'm not sure if it's better to leave blank or put none.

#25. Federal income tax return information.

I have not filed a tax return in 2008, 2009 because I was in college and unemployed.

I did file in 2010, even though I was employed during October – December 2010.

QUESTIONS:

1) Should I check the 1st box which states, "I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years…"? Again, literally it says "three most recent tax years," which is what confuses me again. Not sure about this part. Other people seem to have checked the box even though they only filed one or two of the years.

2) I will include a letter as to why I didn't file during 2008 and 2009 because I was unemployed and attending college. Along with the letter, should I include evidence such as a photocopy of my diploma, certified school course transcripts, registration forms, or report cards? All you have to write in the letter is something about how your income was too low and therefore didn't have to file a return per the filing rules.

3) Would it be better to submit a copy of the IRS transcript rather than a W2 and/or Form 1099? Just choose one of the two.

You're welcome. I finished mine this past weekend but I'm waiting on a joint sponsor's I-864 so I haven't sent the stuff yet. I wanted to help since I had all the instructions fresh in my mind. I think yours will be approved quite easily since you're the sponsor. No worries. Are you including your past 6 months of pay stubs? People here recommend to send them too, in addition to the tax forms or transcripts. Good luck.

I may have to post another question regarding if I will be qualified for being the sole sponsor because of my situation. Reason being that my pay stubs from the past 6 months have not been very high enough, though I did surpass the 125% poverty line. I will still submit the pay stub photocopies.

Thank you for the good luck and good luck to you too :)

PART 5. Sponsor's household size

c) if you are currently married, I entered "1" No. Don't count her on this line again as she is already listed as the principal immigrant. These forms are used by people in different situations. That's why it is confusing. The instructions say ''do not count anyone twice.'' The number would be 0 for this line.

Hmmmm this part is bit confusing as it states to not count anyone twice but later it says "if you are currently married, I entered 1"
