Hi there, we are just starting out on this journey. I want to clarify something if I may. I've been reading everything here that I can. but I am a little fuzzy about something. When I send in my i-129f am I supposed to send in all my evidence like photo's, receipts and call logs. The reason I am confused is because I was thinking that my fiancee should be bringing that on his interview...or do I send it and he brings it as well. Also, I can't see where to find the fee schedule so that I send the right amount of money. Any info is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

The fee for the I-129F is $340. For the petition you need to send evidence that you have met in the last 2 years. Passport visa stamps, copies of boarding passes, photos etc. You need to make sure you send primary evidence (the passport stamps and boarding passes, receipts from the places you visited together, etc) although secondary evidence (photos) can be helpful also. All of the chat logs, photo albums, etc. will be needed at the interview to show proof of ongoing relationship. All that is required for the petition is concrete evidence of having met in person in the last 2 years.

Read the guides http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide and good luck!

Also, complete your profile. It will be easier to help when people can see your fiance's country and other things from your profile.

Thank you so much for the information. I truly appreciate it as I've been feeling kinda lost with all the acronyms etc. Just getting used to that a bit. I filled out my profile as best I could for now.

Just follow the instructions and you will be fine. You need only to provide evidence that you have met within the last two years. How much evidence of this you want to include with your petition is up to you. You definitely need photos and it would help to include a few other things. I included 15 photos (labeled with date and location) and passport stamps. I saved the boarding passes and receipts for the interview.

Welcome to the forum.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed with the visa process and the lingo. Fortunately, this site has a wealth of great information that is very useful. After you send in your petition, you will have time to become better acquainted with this site, including the FAQs, which includes a great glossary of terms.

Good luck on your visa journey.

thank you all for the information. You're right, I am a bit overwhelmed but I'm sure I'll get familiar with the terms.

With Ghana front loading (to some extent can be good because the embassy does get what you send it with the I-129). Anything that shows additional ties is good. But defiantly start collecting those documents now for the interview. Print and show as much as evidence as you can especially showing the whole timeline of your relationship.

There have been a lot of recent topics in the Ghana portal on this topic. Look thru the older tabs in Ghana- im sure you will find them helpful to prepare for the interview (and how to get the interview date!)

Best of luck!
