hello!!!

i'm us citizen and i would like to know the procces on getting green card for my mom, she already been to usa twice on a 10 yrs visa

so what should i do? she is in morocco now , does she has to be here to apply or can i just start the application for her, what form should i fill up? and how long does it take for her to get the green card?? and how much do i have to make a year in order to fill the affidavit of support?

and after she gets her green card can she apply for my little brother to come live with us? i heard it faster to first get my mom green card and then have her bring my brother , is this correct?

please advice me !!! thank you.

Yes, apply for IR-5, so your mom can get the green card. While her application is under process, she should be in her home country. You have to fill the form I-130. Read the guides here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides

Search the post, like green card for parent, etc, so you can see the similar experience posts.

Yes, that is true that it would be faster to get green card for your brother if your mum apply for this rather than you. If you apply for your bro, it will take 10+ years.

Even you mum gets the green card, and apply for your bro as she would be LPR, still it would take alot of time. May be 4-5 years Minimum. I am not sure about this timeframe.

OP is a USC so she could petition her sibling. But that's a long wait. How old is the brother? Quickest way is to do the IR-5 for your mom and have her petition for her son once she arrives. Will still be several years, though.

SALAM,

We are in the same boat. My husband filed for his mom wishing she can bring his brothers with her. they are in Morocco also. So my advice file for your mom. when she gets her green card she can file for your brother if he is under 21. it will takes 4 to 5 years for him to come. If he is over 21. she can't file for him unless she become a citizen. but you can go ahead and file for him it to safe sometime. it will take up to 12 years. My husband's fiend's brother just get his visa 3 months ago. his mom filed for him early 2007 he was 19 at that time.

Good luck

Incorrect, LPR parents can file for unmarried children no matter the age as long as they stay unmarried. the difference it that unmarried children over 21 take a lot longer to come depeniding on the country, than children under 21.
