ok. Well I'll go straight to the point. I'm worried, I have NO income right now, and do not have a W2 form to file taxes for this year. and the previous years I didn't make much because I was going to school full time (Nursing School- just barely graduated - no job yet, I'm in the process of registration with the State).

So my finances Do Not look good at all right now, and unless I can find a Nursing job within the next few days my finances won't look any better in the forms.

I'm wondering if I have a good Co-sponsor, does it matter that I don't have an income? Will they take into consideration that I just graduated from Nursing School?

USCIS:

09/06/11 - I130 Mailed (USPS Priority)

09/07/11 - I130 Received

09/09/11 - NOA1 via text/email (rerouted to CSC)

02/27/2011 - NOA2 via text/email/website -I130 Approved!

As long as you have a co-sponsor that is comfortably over the poverty line for their household, you'll be fine.

I'll shoot from the Hip on this. Try to help.

Nursing School could be CNA $10.00 per hour. LPN $ 18.00 per hour. RN $ 28.00 per hour.

It will matter to show Currant Income, the previous years of No Tax Statements can be explained you were in School. (That cannot be explained if a CNA since that is a 9 week Course)

You have paid the Fees already. You can delay. A Co-Sponsor would work as well.

Try and show at least 3 Months of Income if you can. I wish you best.

For a CR1 visa, the correct terminology is "Joint Sponsor". No worries if you have a qualified joint sponsor. If you have even a new nursing job working full time and well over the minimum required income, you may well be fine without a joint sponsor. Best to heed the answers from those who aim before they shoot and who are confident in their ammunition. Beware of guessers.

sorry let me be more specific... I just finished my RN (3 yrs of school) and I have not taken my NCLEX-RN... because I took a trip to see my wife and stayed there for a month.. I'm ready to take the NCLEX now and find a job.. ASAP..

my taxes filed last year were only around 7000 dlls. because I had do quit my job.. and the two previous years were around 24000 each year..

however, no income right now...

I'm looking at the people(married couple) who may help me sponsor and their income in past years are as follows

for 2011 - 47,000

2010 - 28,000

2009 - 22,000(she filed separately and I only have her taxes for 2009)they were having issues so they filed separately.

2008 - 39,000 (they filed together)

any comments?

would this be enough?

2011 and before is the past. They must qualify based on current income, not 2011 income. (Unless self employed) If they have no children, sure they qualify easily if their current income is $40,000 +. They would file one I-864 and one I-864a in addition to your own I-864.

yeah, their pay stubs still would add to about the same per year as of 2011...

and good thing you mentioned the I-864 and I864a

I was just going over these two and I'm confused.. they filed taxes together.. and these forms ask for their TOTAL INCOME on each of the forms.. should I put the same values on both ? or do I need to separate each of their Incomes?

they were not able to find their W2 forms from past years.. just the taxes filed and their W2 forms were not attached to these copies. so all I have is their TOTAL income all added up.. not their individual incomes..

Yes, they enter the same values on both with regard to the prior years. With no W2 forms, they'll need a tax return transcript instead, at least for 2011. These are free and easily ordered from IRS. For current year, they state their own income. The primary joint sponsor will state both their own income and the amount of income from the household member and total them.
